Howdy, Mamas! I will be starting preschool this year at home with my three year old, and I was looking for some local homeschool groups for playdates, outings, etc. I was hoping for at least one that has a preschool group attached. I am also considering homeschooling in a couple years, so it would be good to get other homeschooling moms' perspectives. I am in Southwest Arlington, almost right on the Kennedale border, and I would prefer not to drive too far. Any recommendations? Thanks in advance!
Oh, and those of you who do homeschool, how do you bring in a little extra cash to your house? I would like to make a little extra money, but am unsure of how to do that while having my kiddos at home.
First off, I live in the same exact area as you and my daughter is almost 3 and smart as a whip! If you're ever up for a playdate, hit me up! I'm at 287/Sublett. Also, have you considered starting an in-home preschool? You could get registered which is easy and earn some extra money while also teaching your son! :)
Have you connected with CHEA yet? (Christian Homeschool Educators of Arlington) They also have PE at Lake Arlington Baptist Church on Thursdays.

Also I would try meetup.com there may be some great playgroups on there and some that are associated with homeschooling even.
I'm just starting out homeschooling, although I've researched and planned since I first got pregnant with my five year old:). I have a five year old, a three year old, and our third little girly arriving in 42 days!
I have a list of websites I've put together with a ton of information and resources (FREE and cheap ones, of course) and if you'd be interested please PM me. I don't make any extra money on the side, but I am extremely frugal and try to use every resource to its utmost.
We're in North Richland Hills or I'd say we'd love a playdate:(. You're a bit far for me and I'd assume it's a bit far for you too.
