I am almost ten weeks pregnant with my second pregnancy. I have my first dr appt this Tuesday. This afternoon I felt a bit of moisture as I stood up. I went to the restroom and saw a very small spot of blood. When I wiped there was very light blood on the tissue. No cramping, clotting or anything..I called my OB and was told by the nurse that this was pretty normal and not to worry. I haven't experienced any more bleeding since but I am feeling tired and a bit off. Was hoping moms out there could share their stories about 1st trimester bleeding. I didn't have this with my first pregnancy so I'm a little worried.

What can I do next?

I bleed with my first from time to time went to the hospital once thought I was in having a miscarriage but they kept telling me that bleeding is common in pregnancies if it's not gushing clotting or like a period followed by cramping.I had a good pregnancy and at term delivery.

You are probably fine. My experience w a miscarriage was that the bleeding gradually increased and was accompanyed with mild cramping that got worse. With another preg I had severe bleeding for days (no cramping) and was so worried but was fine. So many blood vessels form at the opening of your uterus and sometimes they can bleed a little. Totally normal. But its scary, I know.

I would bleed after sex. The tissue is thinner and more prone to light bleeding.

This early bleeding could just be fetal implantation. My cousin had the same thing with her second pregnancy but not her first. At 8 weeks they found out they were expecting twins. The doctor said the bleeding was the babies adhereing to the wall of the uterus. Congratulations!!!

If you are concerned.... insist to see someone. They say that it is ok to seek help where you are concerned about a pregnancy.

Out of my seven pregnancies, the four times I had this happened I lost the babies. So I am extremely cautious about everything going on when pregnant.

Good luck with your little one. I wish you all the best.

I had the same thing happen when I was pregnant with my first child and the pregnancy was wonderful. I was so worried when it happened that I started to imagine symptoms until my doctor assured me it was normal (she had to do it a few times. :)) If you still do not feel right even after you have been to the doctor I would definitely press the doctor and explain the feelings. Also have the doctor not a nurse explain why this might occur. Try not to worry and enjoy your second pregnancy.

Same here. I had zero bleeding with first pregnancy, but with second pregnancy I bled twice (usually within a couple days after being 'intimate' so I stopped that! lol). Was told by nurse that if it was light pink it was probably fine. Should only be worried if it becomes deep red, period like blood. I gave birth to a perfectly healthy 9lb 4oz boy, and I'm sure you will be fine too!
