I think it's normal. It happened to my while I was trying to get pregnant with my second. i think it's just hormones out of whack.
Hello mother's......So i have an 11 month old, I breast fed him for 6 months exclusively and now ( nearly 5 months later) If i squeeze my nipple a little milk still comes out?! Is this normal? I was due to have a mammogram a few months ago but my doctor told me to wait until there is nothing that comes out when you squeeze your nipple (she told me this when I was still breastfeeding).......How long does it take to "dry up" completely?
Thanks Ladies ;)

thats normal i only breastfeed for 1 month and finally stopped leaking 6 months later
I still had leaking breasts up to a year after breastfeeding!
I also breast fed for six months and had the same problem. My doctor said it isn't unusual to take one to two years to dry up completely. In Sept my daughter turned two and I became pregnant with our second. At that time I noticed nothing coming out if I squeezed. Not sure if it was related to pregnancy or not? But, I think your problem is very normal and probably nothing to worry about! Wouldn't hurt to tell your dr at your next appt though! Good luck!
I only breast fed my second child for 2 months and leaked when my nipples were squeezed for 2 years! I guess it's normal.
I had milk almost 10 months after my baby self weaned at 16 months. That is completely normal. I only recently checked again to find no milk and he is now 27 months. I know there are herbs among other things you can do to dry up yoru milk but I'm not sure off the top of my head what they are. I'm sure you could google it.
Took me almost a year...
Totally normal tho...and varies as you can see by the responses.
I nursed my kids for 18 months and 15 months, respectively. After I had weaned #2, I was interested in getting a "lift" and my Dr. said that he couldn't perform anything until a full year after I'd weaned due to this same issue (and I wasn't leaking).
Nevertheless, it's been 2.5 years since I've weaned now and I didn't do the procedure because things are mostly back where they were with the help of exercise and diet (and the industrial-strength sports bra). =)
It's normal.
Hi, A.!
My younger daughter is seven, but, if memory serves, it took me 9+ months to get to the point where nothing came out when I squeezed. It WILL happen, it just (apparently) takes time.

Never had that issue but a good friend of mine did. You can go to Sprouts and get something that will dry the milk up. Just find one of the workers, (a woman), and tell her that you need to dry up your breast milk. She will show you the product.
I had it happen too for quite sometime after I quit nursing my first born. When I weaned my second, it seemed to stop sooner, but I think it is totally normal.
