Leaking Breast - Leesburg,VA

My son is 2 and I breastfed him until he was a year old. Today I was folding laundry and I got the feeling in my breast like I used to get when my miilk "came down" so I could feed my son. I thought it was weird so I checked to see if I was leaking, it wasn't but if I manipulated my breast's a little bit of milk would come out.

My husband and I just started trying to get pregnant with number 2 this month and I never had this happen before having my son or since I stopped breastfeeding. Is it possible I'm pregnant? I read previous posts and everyone seems to encourage talking to your OB, but like I said it's not something that's happened before and right now it's just slightly uncomfortable. I guess I one want to make sure it's "normal" and two if any other mom's had this happen. Thanks Mom's

What can I do next?

I had that happen after I had my first. I would actually leak through my bra sometimes. Turns out my hormones were really off balance. I had an excess of the hormone that creates breastmilk. It actually kept me from getting pregnant for over a year. My doctor gave me a pill to help get things back where they were suppose to be.

Hi H...my youngest child will be 3 in July and this happens to me. I spoke to my doctor and he said my hormones are off balanced. I am 41 and everything is off balanced. So I think that this is common. I think that you should take a pregnancy test to see if you are pregnant. That way you will know. Good Luck.

I periodically have this happen and it's been 7 years since I nursed, and 8 years since my son was born. Oddly... edamame beans will do it every time, also it will just randomly happen a few times a year. Something hormonal going on.

Could you be pregnant? If you're having sex, the answer is yup :) Could it be an early sign? Sure. But it also might not be. I know, super helpful right? :P

Please, please, please see your gynecologist for a breast exam immediately. I do not want to frighten you but you have to rule out breast cancer. You are young and I know cancer in someone your age is rare but please call your gynecologist for an appointment today and explain your symptoms. Please!

I've been leaking slightly ever since I was 17 and started on the pill. It continued straight through my pregnancy and STILL happens now, a year after my son stopped breastfeeding AND several months after getting breast implants. It's been thirteen years, I've had blood work done, had the fluid cultured (to make sure it wasn't an infection) and ???. So, um, I got nothing.
