Hello - Does anyone know of a product that you can purchase (that works) to test for lead in toys? I had heard of some things on the market a year or two ago and checked at Lowe's but they said they didn't carry anything. Any ideas? Thanks so much.

I bought a lead test from Home Depot that was very small and simple to use. I don't recall the name but it is a bright yellow package with 4 tests in a kit and each test stick looks like a cigarette. I even just saw it this past weekend displayed at the endcap of the paint aisle at HD. If you do not find it at Home Depot send me a message and I will find the name (I searched HD website and it did not produce any results).

the home test kits are not a good idea b/c they're not reliable (advertisers' insistence to the contrary notwithstanding). it's better to check the cdc website (someone already gave you the link) and use common sense.
you can also check out HealthyToys.org.
I know it's frustrating with all the (mis-)information out there, but the home tests just give you more misinformation, as often as not.
sigh.

I know a neighbor who bought test kits from Home Depot a couple months ago.
