I am looking for an OBGYN who is open to the idea of a VBAC delivery. I just had my first child by c-section and my current doctor does not do VBAC deliveries. I am not looking to have another child any time soon, but would like to switch doctors well in advance of any subsequent pregnancies.
Thanks in advance for any recomendations.

What can I do next?

My ob that I'm seeing now is pretty good. They are on 837 cedar I believe. I've been there so often waiting for this baby to come I'm not positive of the numbers but I know they are on cedar. There are a few docs there. Dr. Cavallo who is very nice. Dr. Harmon who is also really nice and Dr. Murray, she is the one I've seen lately. They want ya to get to know them all depending on who is on call you will be familiar with them.

I am not sure which ones do VBAC or not but anyway. I have used different doctors in all 3 of my pregnancies, because of insurance issues. Houser-Norborg-Macgregor is good. Dr. Destefano has midwives that are GREAT and I REALLY suggest that you check them out. They let my daughters father literally deliver her, and sat right by his side and gided him and told him exactly what to do. Not saying that would be something you would want to do but they are very open to your suggestions and very nice. Also, you always see one of the two midwives at every visit and one of those two deliver instead of going to an office where there is 8 different doctors. You get comfortable with them. I have also used OB/GYN of Michiana. They are good ther too.

My Dr does VBAC. I had a C-section with my second baby and then I had 4 VBAC's after :) His name is Dr. Grusynski. He is located in some offices off of Memorial Hospital. He will deliver at Memorial or St. Joseph Medical Center SB. I know any DR's that deliver only at St. Joseph Mishawaka can not do VBAC's because that hospital does not handle them. Dr. Grusynski is a very high energy person. He always listens to my concerns and he took excellent care of me through my high risk pregnancies. Good luck to you!

I see Dr. Kirsch. She's in the Women's Reproductive Medicine located in the Navarre building at Memorial. In the practice there is another OB (male) and some nurse midwifes. However, you don't rotate doctors. Dr. Kirsch sees you through the entire pregnancy and she is the one that will deliver your baby. I even see the same check in nurse everytime. They have an ultrasound tech on staff and the whole nine yards.
