So... .can kids sell lemonade/have a lemonade stand, at a park? Public park.

I know, I've read articles saying that kids have to have a permit?????
(I have to see what the laws are in my State, I know).

My daughter and her friends, want to do this.

And/or there is a difference if they sell it ON your property or street, versus a public park type place.

Have your kids done this???
Was it allowed?

What can I do next?

I doubt this is legal. I know in our county parks, there are about 2 vendors and I'm sure permits are involved....now, would someone be heartless enough to report a couple of kids who set up a stand and are NOT in close proximity to a "legit" vendor? That's the question!

Can they possibly do it somewhere else? I'm sure if they are in your yard, etc. it's fine.

My daughter has sold lemonade both on our condo property, the sidewalk, and property that is owned by the city. This is in Minnesota.

There was one case here of a boy being told he needed a permit to sell lemonade, and he ended up on TV. The city backed down, and the boy's business increased tremendously! I think in his case, they attempted to stop him because he was doing this during a city sponsored Art Fair, but he was on his family's front lawn, so in the end, they couldn't stop him.

I don't know about HI, but most states or counties require a permit and you will be the person that receives the ticket if they are cited. It is not always allowed on your own property either.

I think it differs state to state and even possibly town to town. Best to check with your local permit laws to see what they are. I hope it's allowed and your daughter and her friend have a super successful lemonade sale!
