I would buy a mini pumpkin for each of them and let them decorate them. Yarn for hair, buttons for eyes, glue and glitter, sequins, scraps of old clothing/sheets for hats or outfits, etc. Have a pumpkin makeover contest.
I'm having a costume party this Saturday for my ten year old daughter and her friends from 3 to 7 and have NO idea how to keep them entertained for that long. Ideas PLEASE ladies! Thanks!

Ghost Waiter Relay game--split into several teams, put a blown up balloon on a paper plate & they have to "serve" it to the next person on their team without dropping it on the way.
Bean Bag Toss into a plastic pumpkin.
Let them decorate or paint small pumpkins.
Get some halloween activity sheets from the internet--color by numbers, dot-to-dots.
Spider Web game -- a team stands in a circle then tosses a ball of yarn back & forth til a spider web is made.
Mummy game--give each team a roll or two of toilet paper to "mummify" O. of the team members.
scavenger hunts are always fun, there are so many ways to do it! you can have individuals or teams with clues and hidden prizes!! Use glow sticks as markers!
You could get some fun halloween beads and have them make some jewlery- nothing too fancy or hard- just fun. I agree with the decorating pumpkins- that would be fun. Maybe a movie on in the background- or have them help make cookies and decorate them. Some outside games(if the weather is nice) look up on family fun -they have a lot of great ideas!
Have fun!
