P.G.
Has your doctor told you your kid needs them? If not, don't bother. You only need vitamins when you are deficient. Otherwise, they are useless. For things like iron, having TOO much is constipating.
Has anyone found a DHA vitamin your kids like? Looking for a good brand that isn't super expensive yet doesn't have all the other negative additives and artificial flavors? Or any multivitamin as well? TIA

I don't know how big the vitamins are that you are using, but could you teach the kids to swallow them?
When our 5 year old was diagnosed with ADHD, we knew we wanted to try the meds. That meant learning to swallow a pil, as the meds are time-released. We took that opportunity to teach our 7 year old as well. It was actually really easy!!! We used tic-tacs (because I read that on here), and it only took a few minutes.
Give it a try! Once they learn how to swallow pills, the whole world opens up. Pills are so much cheaper than the liquid meds, anyway :-)
We do the animal parade multivitamins. I'm guessing they do a dha formula. My son eats pretty healthy so only takes 1 a day. ( dosage is 2). He also does the vitamin d Sept through April.
Well, we never liked it, but our mom gave us regular doses of cod liver oil.
Taking medicine/vitamins wasn't/isn't always a pleasant experience.
We gave it to our son too.
A fruit juice chaser helps to wash it down.
Once you get use to it, the taste isn't so bad.
They do have some flavored cod liver oil now but I thought it tasted worse than unflavored stuff.
Nordic Naturals are our favorite. I get them on Amazon but they are in many stores as well. I know they are in Whole Foods. I might have seen them in Safeway.
