Keeping Bottles

we kept the old bottles/nipples for our new baby. I don't it that was the right or wrong thing to do though. The bottles we used were Playtex Drop-Ins, so the liners were disposables, and we hand-washed the nipples the first time around.
I DO know that plastics break down over time, especially if they are exposed to high heat dishwashers, microwaves, etc. So perhaps it is best to get a new set if the old bottles were washed in the dishwasher and/or put in the microwave. But this is just a guess on my part.

Maybe if they are not damaged and not the wrong type of plastic or if they are glass. In Canada only certain types of plastics are aloud for baby bottles.

I had kept my Avent ones and they actually changed the way the bottles were made... so they weren't useful to me anymore, but it's worth a shot!

I kept all of mine. When my daughter (#2) was born, that was when I decided whether I wanted to keep them or not. Most of them just needed the nipples replaced.

I kept everything and used it for the second baby with no ill effects.

I would. Bottles can be expensive. If and when you use them again, if your worried about it, just buy replacement nipples for them.

Absolutely keep them. Replacing the nipples is way cheaper than trying to replace bottles. Dishwashers are great sterilizing tools.
