Cream cheese is fine. you can eat any cheeses that are pasterized. The ones you can't eat like brie, feta, blue etc. are usually not madce with pasterized milk and that's why they are not good.
I am getting mixed answers to this questions. I know there are some cheeses to avoide while being pregnant but is cream cheese one of them?

Cream cheese is totally fine. I know that you can't have feta cheese.
Good luck.
The cheeses you want to stay away from are unpasteurized cheeses, which generally are the runny ones like brie, camembert, etc... I think blue cheese is also on list to avoid. Cream cheese is pasteurized and is fine. I assume you're talking about run of the mill cream cheese like Philadelphia or some other normal brand....
The only soft cheeses you should not have are those that are not pasteurized, i.e. brie, feta, Camembert, Roquefort, queso blanco, and Panelaetc. If the label however says "made with pasteurized milk" it's ok. The risk is bacterial infection (Listeria) that can, in the worst case, lead to stillbirth. Here is a good source of info from WebMD: http://www.webmd.com/baby/guide/separating-pregnancy-myth...
You can eat cream cheese and pretty much any cheese that you buy at the grocery store. What you need to look on the packaging to see if it is pasteurized or not. All cheese made in the US is pasteurized. So only if you go to a speciality store that sells imported cheese that is not distributed through the US, you do not have to worry at all.
Hope this helps.

As far as I know as long as the cheese is pasturized it is safe to eat while preggo. Cream cheese is safe.
Go get yourself a bagel and cream cheese! Enjoy! :)
