Try Paradise Indoor Mini Golf, Makutus Island, Amazing Jakes, or a water park like Sunland, Big Surf, or Waterworld. Oh, also YMCA rents out the pool for parties in the evenings. All of those are great!
I have no idea what to do for my sons party this year. He will be seven, last year we had it at Chuck E Cheese, but he is now so out of that phase... The problem is its hot in July, so there go the parks... and me and his father both have apt's, and both grandparents and my brother have rock lawns-front and back and are not really local to my side of town... (thought about renting one of those water slide bounce houses)If anyone has been to the pump it up place in scottsdale, can you tell me how it was... THANKS SO MUCH

Pump it up is really cool. I plan to have my sons party there in August. It is hard to plan a summer party. Last year we had a blow up water bounce thing, the kids had a blast but it was way to hot for the adults. Pump it up is a little pricey, but I have found that pretty much any party you do now a days is pricey. You go into one room (just your party) for 20 min. then you switch rooms to different jumpy things, then the last room is the party room where you do presents cake and pizza if you want. We had a lot of fun last time we went and thats where my son wants his party. Even my husband had a blast (the adults can play on all the stuff too)
Hi! My friend has that same problem, her daughters birthday is in August. She found this park off of Thunderbird & 101, I think its 87th AVE north of Thunderbird, that has a water playground... there are sprinklers and the water shoots up from the ground. Majority of the playground is covered and out of the sun. They also have a regular playground that is fully covered and huge ramadas w/ nice grills. I thought it was a good idea because the parents can play in the water w/ the kids and you can just wear shorts and a tank if anyone doesn't like wearing bathing suits. Hope all works out.
I have a 3 yr. old grandson who went to a party last weekend at Pump it up on the far west side of town. I was not there but my son said he had a blast. He said it was actually for kids around your son's age, they were at a party for a 7 yr old. He said even the parents seemed to enjoy it. The downfall was that it was kind of expensive for the party but they had a large group of kids.
My son loves video games. We did Gameworks two years in a row. The first year we just took him and his sisters. The second year I let him have friends over. I would suggest that you have parents help if you have the friends there. Since it is not Chuck E Cheese no one cares who kids leave with. I assigned two kids per adult for the hour of play time. That worked very well. If he is not into video games find out what he really likes. Maybe, he would rather do an activity instead of having a party.
