Jogging Stroller Recommendations

I have a BOB double - Stroller Strides and I LOVE IT!!! I have 2 kids (3yo and 19mo) and it's very easy to jog with both kids or only 1. When I have only 1, I do not have any issues with it pulling to one side because of the weight; but it has an adjustment knob for the front wheel if you feel it pulling to one side (not many other joggers have that). It also has a suspension system which helps with the bumps. I have used other joggers and have to say that my BOB is by far the best!! It is worth EVERY penny!! I'm another fan of the Baby Jogger strollers.

The Perfomanance series is their true jogging/running stroller. The have a new one called the Summit that is meant for both running and urban use as it has a swivel wheel.

I have a city series that is meant for urban use and not jogging. I've been very happy with it.

I love my Schwinn AL Freewheeler double. It is incredibly easy to manuever with 1 or 2 babies, has a huge sun shade and even some storage. The front wheel can be fixed or swivel.

So your biggest obstacle is not jogging with 1 child but the weight disparity between the two when they are both in the stroller (so the stroller doesn't pull to 1 side or the 1 side of the seat doesn't lose its stability and bend inward). I can tell you from experience and trying many different stroller (jog strollers) --just go for the BOB double stroller. It manuevers like a champ! It keeps the integrity of the seat structure -regardless of using 1 or both seats! It is truly AWESOME. I know it is expensive and maybe you can find a used one..but it is well worth the $$. My two youngest are 4 and 2. The 4yrold is a boy who is extremely active and the youngest is a girl who is active too--. If you live in the hampton roads area, you can test/see the stroller at Running Etc (in va beach or in norfolk/gent area). You can purchase through them or with another vendor --but at least you can see it & test it in the store/right outside their doors too.

We've had nothing but good experiences from our Baby Jogger brand double stroller. One tip, it helps to have a brake system for those down hills! I never realized how useful this was in my previous, cheapy hand-me-down stroller (even for a walk at the zoo) but a brake system is not so standard. THAT would have made the Baby Jogger perfect.

We just got a BOB Revolution and we love it (ours is for only 1 child, though). Best thing we ever bought!

I LOVE my double jogging stroller. It is Phil & Ted side by side. It glides so easily and my kids are comfy in it too. I would HIGHLY recommend it. My hubby and I went to Great Beginnings Baby Store and pushed around tons of strollers and felt like this was the best one. Good luck.

I think the best out there is the BOB stroller - I have the single bob and love it. They are rather expensive but worth it. I have heard that the double bob can be rather heavy though.

K. k, i'd definately go with a bob if your primary purpose would be running or jogging. i have a phil and teds but it is not recommeded for frequent runners )not to mention fo as much as it costs, it should have a motor or something!!). my husband is an avid runner/jogger but HATES it for this running. plus, when the double seat is on the back he kicks it when he runs. hope this helps.

Hey there, Someone else recommend Phil & Teds but I thought that I would mention that they sell a double kit that attaches to the back underneath the main seat. It is just as wide a a standard jogging stroller. I don't think they are sold as jogging strollers but the front wheel locks so It can be used as one. We love ours! Worth every penny.

I have the BOB single child stroller. You can lock/unlock the front wheel. If you run at high speeds it is recommended to lock the wheel to minimize too much swiveling but hard to turn unless you tip the stroller back to make the turns. It is great to use for city strolling. Very easy to maneuver and fold up. The down side is it is bulky and if you have a mid-size car like myself it takes up most of the trunk space. I paid $380 for mine and worth every penny. Also comes with a safety strap. Here is the direct link to the website:
