Harry Connick jr.
That man is fine...or maybe his voice is...or maybe his attitude is...or maybe I just love me a jazz crooning HOTTIE!! Yum.
Ok ladies! My day is dragging! If you could pick a singer alive or dead to have dinner with who would it be and why? Mine would be nelly. He seems like a goog guy and I bet he's nice to his mama. Plus he's not bad to look at! So who would it be???
Thabk y'all so much for participating! Its so much fun reading them!
@ juliette-yess ma'am you can have the whole band if you can handle it!&a ha
@rylie- darn it girl! I've always thought it would lovely to be with someone that can sing to me. Then again I wouldn't want all that goes with it!

Tom Waits, Willie Nelson, Annie Lennox or Chrissie Hynde. The list could go on, hard to pick just one.
Dear god, none. :D
Don't get me wrong... I LOVE music, and I like musicians as a sub-species ;) but I'm married to one. I CANNOT count the number of hours/days of my life I've lost to music technical speak, nor to the frustration of listening to them gripe about "stupid questions". Sort of how one (as a mom) would feel if people asked you EVERY DAY about "How much do you like changing diapers?" "What inspired you to play peekaboo?" "When you were having sex, what positions did you use to conceive?" "If it had been a boy, would you have given him away?"
Since I'm not a musician AND can't speak intelligently about music (aka all I'd have are stupid questions) I shall hereby save the imaginary dead/alive musician and myself the boredom. Pass!
Josh Turner. Have you HEARD his voice?!?! O.M.G. He's also amazingly good-looking. (I saw him live, and he sounds/looks just as good in person as on TV.) He also, as far as I can tell, seems like a genuinely nice guy. He's pretty funny too, kept us all laughing during the concert.
Snoop Dogg. He'd probably want to go to some laid back chicken and waffles hole in the wall (i.e. not pretentious) and I would ask him what he thinks made him successful in the 90s not only with the young, urban youth set but also mainstream. He's been a successful rap and hip-hop artist for nearly 20 years and has managed to not only evolve with the time but appeal to a wide audience.
Janice Joplin
Tupac
Pink
Yusuf Islam (formerly Cat Stevens)
Billy Holiday, Django Reinardt or David Bowie.
@ Riley, Your answer literally had me laughing out loud. My husband is the first man I dated who wasn't a writer/poet/musician/painter. There is a REASON I married a fisherman and not an art-eest!
Bob Marley. I'd love to talk to him about music, love, revolution, sex, all the places he's been, the artists he's preformed with, and what his Heaven looks like.
Tupac Shakur - for all the same reasons. The 3 of us at dinner, now that would be dope!
Can I pick the whole band Bare Naked Ladies? They seem like so much fun!
Or maybe the Beastie Boys for the same reason. I think they're smart and hillarious.
It would be between Kristin Chenoweth or Idina Kim Menzel.
LOVE THEM!!!!!
Elvis Presely icon of the times
Bon Jovi (he seems nice so I'd like to make sure) :)
Harry Connick Jr (he seems grounded & normal)
Sarah McLaughlin (sp?) Love her music and am sad for her she got a divorce
Bono of U2. Love his music but also love the advocacy work that he has done. Oh, wait a minute! Maybe John Lennon as well. Now that I am getting older, I am finding myself becoming more of a hippy chick at heart and think that he would be an interesting person to talk to about our idealistic beliefs.
Eminem and Josh turner! And because they're fantastic singers, great to look at, and hilarious-Harry connick JR and Michael buble!
George Harrison, because the beatles are my favorite band, and hes my favorite beatle.
Neil Young. Hands down.
Prince. He seems so cool and talented.
Brendon Urie from Panic at the Disco!!!!
Dead- Jerry Garcia from Grateful Dead. I would love to hear about his writing process and just his life in general.
Alive- Thom Yourke from Radiohead. His lyrics are so haunting and really cut to the core, I would love to hear what inspired him to write the way he does.
Dead- John Lennon if he was busy.....I know he is not a singer but he is friends with Ben harper( who is a musician) so Heath Ledger...I love him
Alive-Art Alexakis from the band Everclear or Tim Mccrath, Zach Blair, Joe Principe and Brandon Barnes...From Rise Against
Scotty McCreary :) He's such a huggable little guy.
Elton John AND Billy Joel -- no questions asked! They are amazing!
Dead: Glenn Miller. That man was so talented, and so determined.
Alive: Chris August. He seems to have a great sense of humor and an amazing heart for God. Or Damien Rice (just love his music lol!).
Hubby says he'd like to have dinner with Billie Holiday or Cathasaigh. Hrm...
lol
Willie Nelson. I just think it would be a fun, relaxing, time.
