Hi ladies, happy new year to all of you, I hope you all had nice holidays! My husband and I actually wrote out goals for our new year, which included health and fitness goals, as well as some other ones like taking our first big camping trip as a family, and teaching our girls to ride without training wheels, and some career goals, etc.

Anyone else do this? Or want to share some of their new years goals?

What can I do next?

1. Replace my ENTIRE underwear collection at some point. Doesn't sound too hard does it? However, if you were to look in my drawer you would probably laugh out loud, then shake your head.

2. I want to change one thing about my facial care regimen. Be it new face wash, new moisturizer, or a new eyeshadow, I want to try something new. Just for fun, really; cant be getting bored with my own face now, can I?

I don't always make resolutions, but this year, I have a list and am trying to determine each day whether I made progress on any of them:

Be a better friend
Be a better mom to my younger kid who gets the shorter end of the stick
Put away more money for college
Take better care of my self, physically
Better time management around the house

I think it's a great idea to have family goals. I'm going to mention that to my husband. My big goal for this yr is to pay off a small student loan so I can take the last semester I need to graduate college.

So far as character doing what I already know I should be doing, I've been lecturing myself to be more organized and productive at work and home. Eating better/working out more. And keeping my fanances in better shape. I'd be an all arounbd better person if I could follow through and improve in those areas! I do have a plan in place and I am definately improving a little more every day.

Another 25 lbs this year, my goal was 40 lbs last year and I got pregnant at 28 lbs lost. I still work out and have done so every day last year . But since I am pregnant I have no clue of my actual progress.

Also I resolve to keep my marriage how it's been these last two years. It's like we started over.

I don't make New Year's Resolutions but am comfortable and successful with making goals throughout the year. With my career I am used to making annual, monthly and weekly goals and that flows into my personal and family life.

My daughter read a statistic this morning that 57% of people have already broken their New Year's resolutions....It's January 3rd!! I think the new year just sets us up for failure instead of making it a life change.
