What was your most meaningful moment/memory from high school?
Prom?
A random class?
A day lunching in the quad?
Just curious. Reminiscing. :)

Ugh Prom was ruined for me because I was engaged to a jackass, and I went with him. I honestly loved high school, I wasn't in the "popular" clique but everyone knew who I was. I was one of the fun kids, and had a ton of friends. I was in choir and those were probably my best times because all of my closest friends were in there.

I think the one thing that stood out the most was my sophmore year I was given a writing assignment by my Honors English teacher. She like it so much that she submitted it to some sort of high school magazine, and it was published. My first published work. :)

I met my best friend the first day of my junior year. She was standing by the water fountain, looking very lost. She was new to the school, and knew noone. I befriended her from that day on. We have been best friends since that day.

I can't really think of just one but I was really involved in sports and absolutely loved it, I couldn't wait for the end of the school day to come to get to practice. So I guess, being on sports teams was my best memory of high school.

I just attended my 30 year reunion and had a GREAT time. I enjoyed HS a lot, was involved with a ton of activities, didn't have any trouble with cliques or bullying. I pulled out a bunch of memorabilia and re-read my senior year diary - what a hoot! Typical selfish, boy-crazy, over-tired girl - I kind of felt like I was reliving my daughter's recent experience, but with MY friends' names! No single memory, but a whole lot of little ones - lots of drama in high school!

Getting kicked out of a high school that I didn't even go to. LOL

Several class mates and I were attending an art fair where the younger grade school kids got to make things. Well some girls from the school we were at and 3 of my friends decided to take a smoke break outside. Needless to say they were smoking and got busted. Our teacher had to leave everyone else and drive us 30 back to meet the principal. :( I was the last one called into the office he said "I know you were the only one not smoking, but I need you to tell me the others were so I can punish them!" Whatever, I said they were sitting behind me and I didn't see a thing. I never rat anyone out. Never have and never will.

Swing Choir
We had Glee before Glee was "in". We would go to competitions and even went to Europe to perform.
My High School Chorus teacher taught us respect and perfection. He demanded nothing less. But, he is the one I remember the most fondly.

I liked high school. I had a few friends, and we were not the popular crowd. I was friendly with everyone and felt I was treated well by most so it was always a nice time. I was especially close to a couple teachers and they made life bareable when things went wrong now and then. The one day that always stands out to me was the day my M. had surgery for breast cancer. It was my 18th birthday and my dad came to school to tell me she had come thru the surgery well. I was glad she was alive, and spent a big portion of the day in the teachers office talking. They treated me well and let me stay and discuss anything I wanted.
The other day I remember well was when I was on crutches for a sprained ankle. I was going thru a door and it caught on one of my crutches and I started to fall. Out of nowhere, this big giant of a football player, really popular, cute, caught me and sorta swooped me up off the ground and saved me. lol,, Later in the day, I passed him in the hall and he asked if I was ok. I thought that was really nice of him. I also love going to my reunions.
