My youngest had it. Unfortunately, all you can do it wait it out. I did switch to Aveeno Baby Wash and did not use lotion at all until it cleared up. That seemed to speed up the process a little bit.
Hello, I have noticed some irritation, acne on my 2wks old face. I use mustela, but it does not seem to help. Your feedback is greatly appriciated. Thank you!

Don't all infants get this? My son had it for about a week. Cleared up on it's own. I think pedi told me I could use a mild wash like Cetaphyl if I wanted.
But I think you need to do just nothing and it'll go away. It has to do with hormones and being out of M.'s womb.
This is totally normal! It will go away on its own!
That is actually your hormones coming out through your baby's skin. Do not put anything on it, even water. It will go away on it's own in a couple of weeks.
my sons both had this really bad. Totally normal and will just clear up on its own.
Bc,

my 5 week old has it bad and I remember my son having it too as a newborn. It goes away on its own, you don't need to put anything on it.
My son developed a rash on his face and head at around 2 weeks. Turned out that he was dairy allergic. I was nursing and was told to stop all dairy, and within days, the rash was completely gone.
Hello!
This is very normal. My 2nd baby had it really bad too. There really isnt much you can do. However, try putting some of your breastmilk onto the affected area with the tip of your clean finger. Breastmilk should help.

Baby acne is normal and will clear on it's own, but a dr told me I could use a little hydrocortisone cream. That seemed to help and all my kids had it terribly.
Are you nursing? If yes take a look at your diet.
If you are not then take a look at what you are feeding him/her.
Irritation, acne it always is related to diet. Fix the diet, fix the acne.
best, k
Don't ever scrub a baby's face! Leave it alone - it will clear up.
don't be afraid to wash a little harder with a cloth.. it should help
When my son was born he had the same thing on his face. It went away by itself in about 1-2 months! Just leave it alone and I promise your baby will have beautiful smooth skin in no time!
Both my son and daughter had it. It will last for a little while- it's all the leftover hormones from pregnancy. I just used a mild soap on it called California Baby, and put a little Aquaphor on it to keep it from being so irritated. The acne went away completely by the time she was 6 weeks old.
My daughter developed some infant acne, so we switched from washing her face wtih Mustela and Johnson's Bedtime Bath and started using Aveeno Baby Soothing Relief wash and lotion on her face. It cleared up within a week or so, but we stuck with the Aveeno on her face for the first year. Good luck!
