I want to start my search for a Pre-K for my daughter to start next Fall. I know enrollment begins typically in Feb/March for most & I will have a newborn to worry about at the the same time.
So, I want to do my pre-work ;).

Suggestions on pre-k's in the area? We are in South Arlington (around Cooper), but willing to travel to North Arlington if needed.
I am a SAHM/photographer and don't have a HUGE budget to work with. Nothing over $200 for 2 days please =)

I might also be interested in MDO for Spring 2011, so if you have suggestions for that too! We won't be enrolling for this fall since we have other activities going on.

Thanks =)

What can I do next?

We had our grand daughter in Sublett Road Baptist Church Mother's Day Out and their preschool program. LOVED IT! She learned so much and was more than ready to start kindergarten. It's located at Kelly Elliott and Sublett in South Arlington.
Good luck!

Check out Fielder Road Baptist Early Childhood Program. Excellent program and very cost effective. You will love it.

We had our daughter at The Children's University on Park Springs/20 for a couple of months. We/she loved it! It was expensive and we couldn't afford it on one income, so that's the only reason that she quit going but if we could afford it, I would still have her there. She went to the 2 day/week program and it was $400 a month.

If you want some "professional" support in your decision, check out the child care resource and referral service.
They assist you in pre-k searches as well and MDO and infant care. Basically if it is about kids and care, they cover it:)
So knowledgable about the quality standards of child care and what makes an effective program and they do searches based on your budget, goals for your child and many other criteria.

Even if you don't choose to use the service, they have free resources for parents on how to evaluate quality in programs.
Best of luck!

Cliff Nelson Recreation Center has a program that costs about $70 to $90 per month. It is three hours a day, two days per week. My older daughter went when she she was four and did great. They actually follow a schedule and my daughter learned a lot. She also made some good friends. We plan on starting our three year old soon. It is maybe not as long as you have liked, but for the money it is a good program.
