Still looking for less expensive,open & creative, outside-a-lot, healthy, good drinking water, day care. We basically like where we are at.
We have a wonderful daycare in South Maplewood, very reasonable, the children play outside all day long. My daughter loves it there, she is almost 2. You can go to their website, which includes all of their contact information. An extra bonus, Audra (provider) has set up a parent's webpage. We can go to that page during the day and see pictures of what they are doing! Very cool!

I am a stay at home mom and excited about starting my own Montessori preschool in the brooklyn Park area. Little Hands Preschool takes children from ages3-6 years old. Here is alittle information about the Montessori. The Montessori method was developed by Dr. Maria Montessori. Dr. Montessori believed in teaching children using concrete materials and then moving to abstraction when the child was ready. I will be following her method and philosophy of education. I have purchased all the classroom materials found in montessori schools and will teach concrete lessons for math, language, sensorial, geometry, cultural studies which include geography, history, and biology. I will also teach lessons in practical life which are lessons that help the child gain independence in their world i.e. tying their shoes, cutting up fruit and vegetables, and washing the table.
I am also a licensed daycare provider my preschool will be from 7:30am -6:00pm we will have nap time after recess. I am working with a food program and offer 2 snacks and lunch. Try Sandcastle childcare center in St. Paul, near 35E/Randolph back in a neighborhood. My son is 18 mos and has attended since 4 mos. It is reasonable, clean and professional staff who have been there many years which is a bonus. Let me know if you have more Questions.
