Ideas for Goodbye/appreciation Gift for Child Care Provider

My husband and I have decided to move our 30 month old from her in-home childcare (she's been there since she was 10 weeks old) into a preschool setting next month. Our in-home provider has been just amazing with our daughter and has become VERY special to our family. I want to give her something personal and meaningful as a goodbye gift with our appreciation (something with the sentiment of helping her grow, etc). Any ideas? Thank you for our help!

If you could get a pic of the class or group picture and Michaels has frames on sale you could get a signature frame. The kids could do handprints or write their name. they also have t-shirt kits and plates you can do at Michaels.

Hope this helps!

When I was a teacher one of my student's mother's bought me a beautiful ornament. It was an angel. They included a nice card with a wonderful heartfelt note about me being an angel to them. I taught sixth and seventh grade math for five years...I had hundreds of students...I can still remember the girl who gave me the ornament. Every year I think of her, her family and what they meant to me. It's one of my favorite ornaments to put on the tree.

What about a Willow Tree Angel...look at the meanings of the different ones and choose one from there. They are simple yet beautiful and often times say exactly what we are thinking. HTH

Hi C.,

I work part time at Nana Puddins, a sewing and embroidery shop out of our home. How about a personalized gift like a beautiful bag or blanket? We could personalize anything, well almost anything...lol Have a look at our website, www.nanapuddins.com. If we can help, let me know.

How about a painting done by your daughter and framed nicely with a poem that you find fitting for the occasion? You could add a gift card as an extra bonus in the card your family gives her.

When we departed from our nanny, I gave her a James Avery necklace...It was 2 hearts (I have 2 boys)...that together made an angled butterfly. It could represent her and your child's hearts and the meaning of how butterflies represent something new...
