My son's very first birthday party is coming up! :) I want to put a sign on the food table (since we will be serving lunch) basically saying for everyone to help themselves to any of the food anytime during the party. But, I just don't know how to word it. Any ideas? The theme is jungle... So it would be great to incorporate that...But, I have no idea how! Thanks for your help ladies! :)
And I know I don't really need sign...But I am going a tad overboard since it is his first party.. The sign is going to be scrapbook paper with jungle animals on it inside of a cheap 4by6 picture frame. I just want everyhting to be adorable and personal. :)

Step 1) Leave plates and silverware on the table next to the food... that indicates people should help themselves
Step 2) Most people don't like to appear greedy, so they wait to serve themselves until they see other people eating. So make sure a few people are eating by Handing Them Plates AFTER you've gotten yourself and your husband plates. It's backwards from formal dining where the cooks serve themselves last. People take their cues from the host and hostess. If you're eating, so will other people.

I don't think a sign is necessary, just get one of your close friends to make themselves a plate and others will follow. Have fun!
