My 13 month old son sleeps wonderfully through the night (12-14 hours). The problem is his diapers are soaked all the way through in the mornings. I have to put him directly in the tub in the morning and change his sheets every day. I use Huggies nighttime diapers. Am I missing something?
I had to go up a size in the Huggies when my son started peeing through every night. He's still in the weight range for the size he was wearing, but the bigger size has just enough more absorbancy to keep him from peeing through. Hope that will help you as well!!
Nope. My kids have all peed buckets at night and I noticed the older they got, the less they peed. My son, now four years old was dry through the night the first week we potty trained him and never wears pull-ups and he used to pee out his diaper all the time when he was younger. I would say don't worry, but if you are really concerned, it never hurts to discuss it with your pediatrician.
Babies R Us sells these inserts that you can put in the diapers. My friend just showed them to me today, she has used them for awhile. They look like maxi pads.
My daughter had the same problem (thankfully now at 19 months she's waking up with barely wet diapers...almost potty training time!!). The only thing I found that kinda worked was the nighttime diapers which you are already doing with a pair of thick training underwear on top of them. It soaked up anything that leaked through the diaper. So at least I wasn't changing sheets everyday! Hope that helps some! Good luck...it should pass soon but it sure stinks while it's happening!
