I have had the same problem with my two year old and have herd good things about the Huggies overnites. However, I was doubtful. A friend lent me a couple to try. So far we are two for two--they work! Good luck!
Hello all,
I was wondering if anyone here has used the Huggies Overnights, and if so did they REALLY work???
My son is 5 mos old and cant make it 4 or 5 hours in a pampers cruiser. He still isn't sleeping through the night and I think it may be because every few hours he is soaking himself and once he is awake he might as well eat...... The front is the only part he is soaking...so will the Huggies accommodate that? I am starting to slightly loose my mind because I don't get any sleep......Especially at night......It is hard to make a bottle when you can't hardly keep your eyes open....
Anyway, I know where I can buy them and how much they are. They also make them in our size....but before we buy I want to make sure they are going to hold for my heavy wetter.
also, just to let everyone know we have tried the loves and target brand......NO LUCK.....
Thanks for you help.

I never had much luck wth Huggies, but luvs work well, and there are diaper pads you can get to put in thier diapers for more overnight protection- I have 2 boys ,agres 4& 6,and a 2yr old girl
I personally use these dipers all day long my son is onw and my daughter is two and they are bothe hevey wetters and my son only wets the front. he has been known when my husband keeps them at night while i work to put them to bed at 8:00 pm and they dont usually get up till 8:00-10:00 am and i have yet to have a problem with them leaking. but they were only 17.oo$ at walmart here in new bern nc
I had to use Huggies Overnights with my first son. He soaked through anything else that we tried. When my sone wore a size 3 diaper I used a size 4 overnight. When he started overflowing out of that, I moved to the 5. I think that have size 3 overnights now though. Just make sure the diaper is not too big and gapping around his legs. As for the front being that only part filling up, that's just a boy thing. I don't know that any diaper will fix that. I won't gaurentee that will help him sleep through the night, but it did help at least that I didn't have to change his clothes everytime I got him up. My 5 month old son's not sleeping through the night either, so I hear your exhaustion.
I ue Huggies Overnight for my 2 year old son and they are wonderful. I am a mother of 4, 3 girls and 1 boy and these are the best diaper that I have found. All of my kids broke out with pamper diapers. Give it a try, boys do wet different than girls.

Someone wrote asking basically the same thing last week. Everyone seemed to like Luv's. I found Pamper Cruisers and bought them. On her second night with them, she leaked.. BIG TIME. I will try luvs next.
I use Huggies all the time now... just regular diapers... not overnights. The regular ones leak bad also.
We went through the same thing with our son. The Huggies overnights are more expensive - but SO worth the money and I am a "penny pincher"!!
I personally think they really work. My duaghters both needed them at some point. I just got tired of having to change bed sheets every morning. It is worth it. And since you only use one a night they last a while.
Yes they work really good. My grandson who is 2 1/2 was drinking a lot during the night and that was what I had to use. It was soaked in the morning but his bed wasn't wet.
You can get them at Wal Mart for I think around $20.
We use Target diapers for our regular diapers, and at one point my daughter started leaking out of them every night. We started using Huggies Overnites, and they did work very well. However, it was suggested to me to just try a larger sized regular diaper at night, and that worked just as well.
Good luck!
Hi T.,
My sister says Huggies are the BEST for overnight! They can get expensive so I also suggest Parents Choice- Walmart brand (Wasn't impressed by Target brand). It holds alot for my 7 month old son who is also eating solids! Hope this helps! J.
They worked GREAT for my son. After about 2 years old we had to add a Doubler (can find at babies r us) to the inside to make it all night, but the Huggies Overnights are GREAT! They hold a TON.

My son is 15 mo and we were using regular Huggies at night. He would wake up soaking just about every morning. We switched to the Huggies overnights and now it's only on an occasional where he'll actually pee past the diaper. I think they really made a difference-at least with the laundry. :o)
My daughter is also a heavy wetter and we use regular huggies and they seem to work better. We tried pampers and luvs as well and neither of those worked. the huggies seem to work well for the most part. every now and then she wakes up wet but not till it's time to get up in the morning. kind of like it just happened.
I haven't used the Huggies overnights, but I did have to switch from Pampers to regular Huggies with my daughter and two sons because the Pampers just wouldn't make it overnight. I liked the newborn and small sizes in the Pampers, but once they started wetting more I just found that Huggies held more. Good Luck!
They are the best ever! They hold so much and now we ALL sleep through the night!
Hi! My mother-in-law introduced us to Huggies Overnights as my toddler was soaking through his diapers every night. The Huggies have worked great for us - although they won't last past 11 or 12 hours - they'll start leaking out the top. BUT - they are a huge improvement over standard diapers. We even use them at naptime! Maybe they will work for you!

being that my kids are now between ages 8 and 11, i am a bit out of touch with diapers lately. but when my oldest was that age, we used the Overnight huggies - huggies was THE only brand that worked for him at all, even daytime - and they worked GREAT! he could go all night! it would be VERY soaked in the morning, but rarely ever got on his clothing or sheets. my younger son is only two years behind him, and when he was born, they had quit making the overnights. i am glad to hear that they brought them back, as there must still be a huge need for them. i just can't say if the new ones are as good as the old ones, but it is worth giving them a shot. if they don't hold it all at night, at least you can use them up during the daytime...
best of luck!

We have been using them for sometime, my daughter is now 2 and they are the only diaper that she has not soaked through at night.
Even though my 3 1/2 year old is potty trained, he still soaks diapers at night. We've always used regular Huggies, and they work fine. Every now and then there's an overload, but in general leaking is not a problem. I don't know if there's a price difference in the regulars and the overnights, but I do know you can get the big boxes of regular Huggies at Costco.
I used Pampers Goodnights and loved them! I think a pack lasted a month-about 30 in the box. It saved me from having to wash the crib sheet every day.
Yep! I use cruisers during the day and huggies overnights at night with my 13 month old. It's what we've done for the last several months Every now and then, he'll wet through the overnights (usually if he's nursed more than normal at night).
We used the Huggies overnites with my son until he was 4 1/2 yrs old. Love Them!!! No problems with him wetting out of them. He is such a deep sleeper that now that he is trained at nite we wake him up before we go to bed just to make sure he has a successful nite.
After my son was about 3 mos. old I quit using pampers and switched to Huggies supreme for the same problem. He is 19 mos old now and they are still working well.
They worked really well when my daughter started soaking through regular diapers at night. It sure saved me from doing loads of laundry!
My son is now 7 but this is what I used on him during the nights. Pampers nor luvs never held anything much for him even during the day.
Hi,
I was in the same situation you are in. I tried to double up but still didn't work. The Huggies Overnights were AWESOME! I bought him a size larger than what he wore during the day and he never leaked. It was heaven! I also tried to move his peepee down when I put his diaper on.
I did have a hard time finding Huggies Overnights at Target, grocery stores and pharmacies so I started buying them from www.diapers.com and it was more cost effective. I would recommend you definitely try it out -- you've got nothing to lose! except more sleep :-)
We always used Pampers Swaddlers with our son until he outgrew them. Then we started using the Huggies Overnights and they are great. Target diapers didn't work for him when he was little but now that he's bigger (and they have improved them) they work much better.
Hi T. my name is A. and I have a 5 year old little boy that went through the same thing. I will tell you that the best diaper that worked for him, you wouldn't belive it but the Wal-mart off brand. They are called GoodNights. They also have them in pullups and I swore by them. I wouldn't pay all that money for the name brands, CJ would only soak through. Hope this helps.
A.
They absolutely do. If my daughter wakes up around 5 am and I give her something to drink- I take off the overnight, because it's usually full, and put a regular diaper on her for the next couple hours that she'll sleep. If she doesn't wake up for something extra to drink- she'll be fine and won't leak. That extra drink makes her leak even in the overnights and they hold A LOT!
I totally use them for my son, I started probably when he was 18 months because I was changing his diaper several times a night because he had soaked through, he was a huge drinker. Anyway, they are not miraculous but they are better and may do the trick, at least get you longer stretches.
You said that the front is the only part he is wetting...are you making sure he is "tucked down"? That may be part of the problem.
I highly recommend them. They have really helped in our home and they hold a lot of liquid.
Good Luck
We have been using them for the past 2.5 months and we have had dry nights since.
K. P.
I use them for my daughter. They work great for us!
My son always soaked through the Huggies brand and now my youngest is doing the same thing. We always had to use Pampers but they may be worth a try for you.
Yes they work & you can also find these things called diaper doublers which also help. I am not a Pampers fan and always preferred Huggies because I think they are more absorbent.
HI T.,
I have used Huggies overnights for both my son and daughter when they were babies. They worked great for them!
yes - they work great. I used them with both my kids. My oldest overflowed through everything else.
I have used Huggies Overnites and LOVE them. I have had two heavy wetters and they definately helped them get through the night without soaking everything. If you don't mind me asking, where do you buy them? I can't find them lately, and I have a 5 month old that is headed in the same direction!
Hey there- we have a heavy wetter as well and do use the Huggies Overnights. They work pretty well, the best we have found so far. We also use little pads called Diaper Doublers. They are sold at Publix and places like that (not W-mart or Target, etc.)They are 2.99 for 20 of them and you lay them inside the diaper. They really are our lifesaver. Hope this helps! I know what it's like to have everything wet in the middle of the night!
I used the huggies overnights with my twin boys, and they did work for us. I also tried the store brands and the luvs and no luck either, hope this helps : )
YES! They definitely work and I highly recommend them! They were a life saver for me and I’m sure they will be for you too!
The Overnights do work. Another brand I have found has worked extremely well for my son (2.5 y/o) and my daughter (13 mo.) is the Member's Mark Diapers from Sam's Club. They are much cheaper per diaper and since we started using them instead of Pampers or Huggies we have had a soaked through diaper only once and that was when my son slept for almost 18 hrs straight! Good luck!
Try White Cloud from Wal-Mart. They are the only ones that works well for my son, (I've tried the Huggies, Pampers, and Luvs) and are only about $7. Although, I've never tried the Overnites.
Hi T.!
I swear by Huggies Overnights! I had the same problem with both of my daughters...they wore Pampers' Cruisers and then started hitting a point where they were wetting the bed every night because of leaking. So I bought the Huggies Overnights (which I was skeptical of because Huggies regular diapers didn't work very well for me). They worked like a charm! I have never had an issue with them leaking. I will recommend that you go up a size in these probably before you go up a size in your regular diapers. My 21 month old still wears 4 Pampers Cruisers, but wears a 5 in the Overnights and has been for several months. Good luck!
p.s. When potty training time comes, I also swear by the Pamper's Nightime Pull-Ups. Once my eldest daughter got trained during the day, we were still having a little trouble at night. So we bought those and they saved us until she was trained at night!!!
~M. (32 year old married, mother of 21 month old and 3 1/2 year old daughters)
I have been using them since my daughter who is almost 3 was 4-5 months old. She would get up several times in the night until just recently and I hated changing her diaper. The stimulation would be too much. I recommend them, and they are worth the money.
I never tried huggies wtih dd but with teh cruisers she would soak through them in one or two pees. i started using baby drys and not another problem after that. they absorbed more than the cruisers and actually were better fitting to
T., I have used Huggies overnights with my daughter and I love them. They work really well. You can also try using a regular diaper with a Diaper Doubler. Diaper Doublers are these pads you place in the diaper. They look like a maxi pad, but without the sticky. You can get 30 of them for $3 and some change. Good luck!
They work for us! I buy huggies overnights every two or three weeks. They last a while since I only put that kind on him at night. Good Luck!
Haven't tried Huggies overnights, but we used Pampers Babydry when our son was 5 months. He still does best when in Babydry. They seem to have a design that pulls the wet away from him and they flex with his body at night (preventing leaks out the top and sides). Works for him and he is a year old now.
I had good luck buying diaper doublers and laying that in a regular disposable diaper. The doubler gets soaked and then the diaper gets soaked and my son was able to make it through the night once we got the doublers. I think mine came from a nursing mother resource--he's almost 16 now so the name escapes me. But I bet you'll have no trouble locating them.
I just started using them at night for my 15 month old daughter and they have not leaked yet. We still use Pampers during the day, but the Huggies Overnight seem to be doing great for night/bed time.
Good Luck,
K.
My twins (boy/girl) use Huggies all the time and we LOVE them. I tried several off-brands (and Pamper's Crusiers) and never found anything I truly liked. I didn't realize Huggies made "overnights" that small so I use the next bigger size diaper at night for my son (as we've had the same issues.)
You might want to try that with your current brand - if it doesn't work, you haven't wasted your money, just put them up and use them when he's bigger. However, I definitely recommend Huggies!
I don't put the bigger diaper on him until my husband and I go to bed. The twins go down between 7-7:30 and then my husband and I ususally go to bed between 10-11. We change him on our way to bed and then don't have to change him in the night.
Those are my experiences....
Hope you get some relief - sleepless nights sure make the day long....

try Pampers Baby Dry at this age. At five months, my son was still changing frequently due to nursing. I would not feed him if he is not asking for it. Then you start to create a habit instead of fulfilling a need.
I also had the same issue with my son soaking through a diaper in just a 7 hrs stretch. I changed to Huggies in the red/white box (not natural fit) and they have worked wonders. He pretty much wakes in the morning with the largest diapers I have ever seen but they have not soaked through. Good Luck! S.
my 2 year old is using the huggies overnights at night. she, too, was soaking the front of her pampers cruisers by morning, although she wasn't soaking herself multiple times at night. her pjs around her waist were always soaked, and sometimes it travled up and down her pjs... they have so far kept her dry. i do still prefer cruisers because of the waffle weave middle that seems to keep her bottom dryer-- these huggies don't do that as well, i don't think, but i just use an extra bit of a & d cream on her tush and that seems to help. i didn't like huggies before, but i was like you-- well, i was still sleeping, so i guess i wasn't really. but i was frustrated with having to change her sheets every morning, as well as making sure none of her stuffed animals were soaked, and having to change her out of her pjs right away, and some mornings even threw her in the bath really quick because she was so wet. anyway-- try them, hopefully they'll work for you! btw, they seem to run a bit smaller than cruisers to me, we switched her to a 5 where she's still in a 4 in cruisers. good luck!
Hi T., the Huggies ON diaps are definitely worth a try. I was having to change my daughter's bed quite frequently from her wetting through her diaper, but the ON's seems to have curtailed that. I haven't tried the other brands, but the Huggies seem to work. Good luck...
Hello T.. I used the huggies overnights for my son and they did work. I had to used then through the nights and on longer car trips. When he got older (He is 3 now)and we went to pull-ups we tried the over night ones...they didn't work. I know your little guy isn;t to that point but it is something to keep in mind.
GOOD LUCK!
L.
These work so well I would sell them door-to-door!
I used the overnights with my first daughter (now 3 1/2) and she saturated them, and they never leaked. I am also using them with my second daughter, 16 months. Again, they are working great. BUT..........I have now purchased the huge box of Sam's Club Member's Mark diapers for everyday use and have found the absorbancy of them is VERY similar to the overnights. I have even used them in place of the Huggies overnights on a number of occassions, with no problems. In my experience, after trying all brands, the Pampers are the least absorbant........!!! I know there are differences in the boy/girl diaper wetting, but my neighbor has twin baby boys and she is the one who got me using the Member's Mark!!!
The best, I found, were/are Pampers Baby Dry Diapers for nighttime. They worked GREAT!!
Both my kids (6 yr old son and 4 yr old daughter) used the Huggies Overnights and they worked great. I liked the Pampers better for day time though.
