Planning a move to Hudson, Ohio area in the next month. DS is turning 5 and will be expected to get a bunch of vaccines. I refuse to get them all at once, and in the past have gotten one at a time, spread out a few months apart. I have read a bunch of sites with sample letters, but need a Pediatrician who will support me. I am in a hurry bcs. he will be starting Kdg. soon!

Don't let the school system try to bully you either, I believe you may have to sign something about religious reasons or something like that but they can't turn your son down because of his delayed schedule. Do what you feel is right - in your own time. GOOD LUCK!
I am not sure how flexible they are, but Pediatric and Adolescent care in Hudson, OH is very good. It's worth a call. I love them!
I also have to put in a word for Dr. Steven Johnson. He has been great with both our kids and his emergency number goes to him personally after hours not an answering service! (We only did that once) But the docs that cover for him when he is out of town are also nice and friendly with the kids. We have never been turned down for a same day appointment either with sick kids. He always seems to "fit" people in. Good Luck!
Try Dr. Saira Ismail ####-###-#### she is a Family Practice Doctor and I LOVE her! It is a large practice so there is good and bad to that I guess but someone is ALWAYS on call and it is a doctor not just a call service, which is a plus to me! She is very very good with children (and adults)and very informative....Good luck in your seach! L.

I am a sahm too, we live in Cuyahoga Falls, OH (city right next to Hudson) and my pediatrician is in Stow (also right next to Hudson) they are called Children's Choice Pediatrics. They take new patients and are wonderful with children. We see Dr. Michele Marshall. As far as vacc-You should call them and ask ###-###-####. It is worth it-they are a fantastic group of Pediatricians!! I would highly reccommend them-M. H :)
We go to Steven L Johnson ###-###-#### is his own one man show. He has coverage when he's out of town (these docs are great in their own right,) but otherwise is on his own. I took my son to the large Childrens' group - I found them rude AND they were going to give my son all of his 2 month shots when he was sick. I got out of their right then and there.
I'm not sure if Dr. Johnson if flexible with his vaccine schedule, but he is certainly the type of person that will listen to your concerns and talk to you about them. Also I love the fact that if your child is sick he gets you right in or calls you back himself..not a nurse.
The only truly flexible MD in the area is up by the Cleveland airport. They are well worth the drive. Janet Levatin, M.D. She is a pediatric and adult doctor specializing in Holistic and Homeopathy for children and adults, at 7380 Engle Road, Middleburg Heights, Oh 4413, ###-###-####. My son has asthma and she has fixed his problem without the use of steroids and he is not getting any of his 5 yr old shots. I wish I hadn't gotten any other vaccines for him in the past. We use to go to Dr. Steven Johnson in Hudson who retired as of this 12/31/2014 he use to be flexible but joined a group about 1 yr ago and they all push ALL vaccines even the Gardasil very hard. So we just changed. Dr. Tenpenny D.O. is also in with Dr. Janet Levatin M.D. and she is well known nationally to be against vaccines. Check out her facebook page. Good luck. Also I recommend reading the Vaccine book by Dr. Sears. He is neutral and gives all the ingredient info for diff. vaccines by diff. manufacturers.

We go to Stow-Kent Family Practice on Graham Road in Stow - right next to Hudson. My husband sees Dr. James Bailey, and my 1-yr. old Kaitlin and I see Dr. Michelle Holmer. She used to be an OBGYN but is now a GP. There's also a PA if you just have a cold, and all of their nurses are the nicest! Anyway, Dr. Bailey and Dr. Holmer are both very wonderful doctors, and they don't always agree on how things are handled. Example: I was conflicted on whether or not to get Kaitlin a flu shot this past winter. Dr. Holmer and I discussed it on 2 separate appointments. Then I ended up seeing Dr. Bailey for a sore throat (I panicked that it was strep and Kaitlin was wayyy to young to expose that to her...). Anyway, I asked him his opinion and we talked it out for about 15 minutes - fairly generous, I think, considering that he was squeezing me in, because his opinon was very different from hers. And Dr. Holmer let me call her all the time right after Kaitlin was born because I had no female family support to bounce things off of. I'm sure that they'd talk with you over the phone before you go in, and they take just about every insurance plan out there. Their number is ###-###-####.
