I am looking for fun ways to tell my husband we are pregnant again. He doesn't want to see the urine test so I don't want to give that to him. Also, we aren't going to tell our almost 5 year old until we are 12 weeks along so wearing a shirt that says it won't work either. I am going to have the gradparents watch our first born the night I tell him so she won't hear. Any creative ideas. Thanks so much. I am SO excited! Oh, we won't have a sonogram back yet because my apt isn't until next Thursday. Thanks!

What can I do next?

I saw a show once where the woman made a dinner for her husband with BABY back ribs, BABY corn, BABY shrimp, etc. Anyways you get the point everything dealt with baby. I thought it was a very cute way to announce it! I would have done something like that but was way to excited both times to keep my mouth shut so i just told my hubby right away. Have fun and congrats!

If you go out to dinner, go where they have paper tablecloths where people often write on it -- play hangman on the paper tablecloth and you do the phrase "another baby in December" or "we're pregnant."

Maybe you could paint ourself a shirt that says "Due In December." Of course, you'd have to wear a jacket over it, which isn't quite practical for Summer in Texas.

You could always get a shirt for your son that says "big brother" and say "look at the cute clothes I got Joey today." Go through a couple regular ones first, then the "big brother" shirt and see if your husband gets what you're trying to tell him.

At dinner, pull out an envelope and say "Oh yea - I almost forgot - This came for you in the mail today." Have it be addressed to him from "Mother Goose" or something like that. Inside, have a piece of paper that says "Thank you for your interest in a family. Your new child will be arriving in December 2010" or "Please allow 26-28 weeks for delivery." I bet if you typed it up real cute and actually had a stamp and mailed it to yourself it would be pretty unique.

Whatever you do, have fun with it and CONGRATULATIONS!

Congrats to you! When I told my mom it was around mothers day so I bought a baby doll and dressed it in a "What happens at grandmas stays at grandmas" onesie and placed it in a shoe box face up. Since it was mothers day I pretended it was a mothers day gift and wrapped the box up like a present. When she opened it she started crying and looking back and forth at the doll and me saying oh my god! She knew we were trying so she put two and two together. BTW she still has the doll!

Do it on fathers day.
Buy him two cards. One from your first child and another one from the baby. Inside the one from the baby - on the left side where it is blank put the baby's first ultrasound picture there and if you don't have one by then then look up ultrasound pictures online and print it and put it there.

Then write happy fathers day, I love you daddy. Love your new bundle of joy.

I wish you the best.
Eat well and get lots of rest and enjoy.
