My daughter recently colored on my moms couch white couch with blue and green crayons and I was wondering if anyone has any ideas on how to get it off? I have no idea what type of fabric it is so hopefully that won't make too much a difference on getting the marks off. I do know it's not leather! Thanks in advance :)
Some parents suggested put a brown paper bag over the affected area and iron over the paper bag it absorbs the wax. After that you should be able to get the color out nicely with either a Tide Pen or Oxy Clean, or worst case scenario, a professional fabric cleaner. I would phone the maker of the crayon company and the sofa company and ask them.
Too many fabrics to know and the chemical composition of the crayon may matter.

Using some absorbent paper towels and an iron, cover the crayon marks with the towel and set the iron on low then set the iron on toweling, The crayon will melt and be absorbed by the paper towels.
Not sure this will help, but crayons are made of wax and to remove wax from a textile I learned that if you put a brown paper bag over the affected area and iron over the paper bag it absorbs the wax quite nicely. After that you should be able to get the color out nicely with either a Tide Pen or Oxy Clean, or worst case scenario, a professional fabric cleaner, but I would start with the iron for certain.

If it is crayola crayons, I just use regular baby wipes to gently remove it. Baby wipes work miracles, believe me. If it is not crayola, the only thing I can think of is that Woolite with Oxyclean upholstry cleaner. It is very gentle.
My daughter constantly draws on the couch and other furniture - mostly by accident, sometimes on purpose :) sigh...
Anyways, if it's Crayola crayons ours come off with just a damp paper towel (we have a microfiber "faux-suede" couch).
If that doesn't help try washing it off wild a mild detergent solution.
The cheap crayons are a lot harder to remove, so we pony up the big bucks on this one item...

What about WD-40? I know it works for candle wax on carpeting. Don't forget to try it on a non-conspicuous place first.
you could try (although I am no expert) to use a very low setting on an iron, put a towel or other piece of cloth (that you don't care about) ontop of the crayon, put the iron on the towel, and see if it will melt and adhere to the towel...
They sell something at Lowes called Folex. It's amazing. It got red wine out of our white fabric dining room chairs a week after the stain was made. It comes in a spray bottle. It's worth a shot.
