Hi moms (and dads),
I neelp help--stat. I am flying the friendly skies tomorrow and have the worst looking pimple, nearly in the center of my forehead. There is no way I can cover it with my hair (without looking like Cousin It from the Addams Family)...any ideas are appreciated. TIA
Thank you all for the great responses...I will let you know which method I try and how it worked.
This is a bummer b/c I got brand new uniforms and took them to a tailor to get them altered...was looking forward to looking a bit "glammed up" for a change (I've been flying for 10 years, so a change was in order)...then this thing started taking over my forehead : ( Even worse, my daughter is calling it a "unicorn horn"!!! So thanks again for your help...you guys are great.

I found this for you. I've tried toothpaste. It really worked.
Do NOT touch it, or try to pop it. That will make it worse.
Get ibuprofen. (Not Tylenol, it HAS to be ibuprofen.) Get some fresh squeezed lemon juice or water. Water is fine, but lemon juice is better. Put the ibuprofen table in a little bowl, cover the tablet with just a little lemon juice or water, until it can be crushed into a paste. Put the paste over the pimple, and cover with a bandaid. Also take ibuprofen every 4 hours...as it says you can on the bottle. It will reduce the inflammation. I got this information from my dermatologist. Incidentally, she told me NEVER to put toothpaste over a pimple.
My gay friend uses Preparation H to take care of blemishes....
Pimples!! The unfortunate story of my life!! I have huge pores left, due to a youth full of pimples. Anywho...
You can try a sulfate based clay mask...or put cold patches on it. Benzoyl peroxide should dry it up quick, but Nothing will make it dissappear instantly. Stay away from scrubs, or harsh meds that will irritate or infect the area.
Take 2000 IU's of vitamin D-3 (derived from cholecalciferol) and 1g of vitamin C.
Also, dab a little bit of peroxide on it (the kind you use to clean a cut). That should help to dry it out.
Toothpaste tonight while you sleep.
Then again, tomorrow put when you wake up. Don't forget to wipe off when you get ready.
Then put a small flesh colored circle band-aid on it when you leave for
your flight. Then no one knows & you won't feel self conscious ALL day.
Have a safe flight!
An esthetician gave me a great piece of advice for a pimple. Take a regular old aspirin and crush it up, and add a little bit of water to make a paste. Smear that on your zit and let it sit for awhile then rinse. Aspirin = salicylic acid, which is one of the two most common acne medications (the other being benzoyl peroxide).
Good luck!
Like some others said, put a dab of the white pasty toothpaste on it. Good luck!
Toothpaste - Good Old Fashioned tooth paste not the gel stuff we use for the most part.
