My daughter has put I believe quarters, nickels, dimes into our dvd player. which is built into our tv!! Of course the dvd player does not work now. The dvd in it will not come out. It was making noises trying to but cant. I tried a magnet but it seemed to just try to suck in the magnet! ?? Any ideas would be appreciated : /

My son did this a number of years ago and what finally worked for me was wrapping tape (upside down with the sticky side out) around a popsicle stick and sticking this into the player and fishing them out by catching them on the tape. It took several attempts and I felt stupid doing it but it ultimately worked and the player was fine.

Do you have ne of those telescoping magnet rods? Maybe you can get that in there...do coins even stick to magnets? Hmmmmm. I'd unplug it first.
Depending on the type of tv, there should be a way to take the faceplate off (screws under neath maybe). That should allow you to access the wayward coins . . .
I know this sounds primitive, but I would have DH turn the tv on it's side while you hold the door open, or even "wedge it open" with a tissue or something and shake it gently. If they were "dropped" in there, they should just fall out.
If not, I think you're stuck taking into a repair shop.
magnets + tv = really, really bad. I would not try it. Your best bet is a repair shop. My grandpa owns one and he's seen that sort of thing all the time.
Watch your child! Those coins very well could've been in her tummy instead of the dvd player.
