I use 1/4 cup non-sudsing ammnia in a bucket of hot water with a well wrung-out mop. Actually got this info from an "Ask Heloise" column & it works great!
If you have Pergo flooring, how do you clean it.
I know dusting, sweeping are the preferred maintenance, but otherwise, when it need to be wiped up...what do you use?
Thanks!

Shark steamer. The key is not lingering in any place long enough for the steam to get under the surface and warp the boards.
I have tried tons of products and that is the only O. that doesn't leave streaks.
I've had Pergo floors for 15 years. They've only ever been cleaned with a slightly damp mop or cloth. They don't need any other type of cleaner regularly. If we have a dog/cat type accident, a small amount of something like Lysol is OK, but use very little product. If you get them too wet, they can buckle and warp. If that happens, they usually smooth back out once completely dry.
We use glass cleaner
I use the Pergo brand spray cleaner when it needs something cleaned off it. Otherwise, a damp mop.
I use vinegar and water that I put in an old spray bottle. I use an old hand towel that I put on a swiffer mop. It has holes in the top so I wrap the towel around the base and poke the towel into the holes to keep it on. I don't use softeners or dryer sheets when I wash my old towels. All of the cleaners I have used on our Pergo left streaks or a film. Vinegar and water work great and is a lot cheaper.
The guy who installed the flooring said to use 1 cup of vinegar in a gallon of water. I put about 3 tablespoons of vinegar in my spray bottle and then fill the bottle with water.
Clean with water and a little vinegar. That is all. Pergo floor cleaner is basically the same thing, just way more expensive. I've used goo gone a couple of times for grease, just wash it off well.
We also use vinegar and water, works great!
