I had been really sick, not pregnancy sick but double ear infection and possible Whooping Cough (it came back negative.) The doctor asked about my periods and I said I was having light ones every month.

She did her tests and came back in saying I was VERY PREGNANT and almost 3/4 of the way done. Needless to say my ear infection was the LEAST of my worries then but I did get QUARANTINED for five days until the health department cleared me of Whooping Cough. I couldn't even seek medical attention for myself until getting the notice in the mail. I was 5 1/2 months pregnant!

I knew I was pregnant with each one and only took the pregnancy test to confirm. Once I thought I "may be" but didn't really think I was and I took a test and found I was not. Neither time was I late yet...but did wait to test until I was.

I felt the pregnancy very early with each ones and just knew (and no, I did not have morning sickness) so I really don't "get" how people don't know (or at least think it is possible). A friend of mine actually was on birth control when she got pregnant w/ her last one. The tests, her husband, and the doctors told her she wasn't pregnant. After all that, when she was 13 weeks along and insisted she was pregnant they did ANOTHER test that said she was and they said "well you can't be more than a month since you weren't pregnant last month"....the ultrasound showed she was in fact 3 months along...she just knew as well.

I guess there are some that may not realize as early but I don't get the ones that are far enough along to (7 months or more) give birth to a healthy baby and claim to have not known...that is not knowing, that is denial!

With both I took a test in a McD bathroom! #1 we were just starting a roadtrip and stopped for breakfast and I went and took a test. We were TTC so it wasn't a huge surprise, but still cool to see that pesky little pink line. With #2 I went out to buy a pkg of tests and saw McD on the way home and thought it would be funny (and a good story!) so I stopped and took a test-- pos again! I've never gotten a pos test at home, it's always at McD!

With my first one, I had absolutely no idea. None. I actually had an infection that my mother made me go to the doc for. So of course she was right there when the doc came in with a funny look on his face (this was a doc I'd been seeing since I was very small and I was 19 at the time) and asked if it were possible for me to be pregnant. I was about a month along. So who knows how long it would have taken me to find out otherwise? My grandmother was in the waiting room and she actually fell of her chair she was laughing so hard when she found out. Needless to say, my whole family knew before the babies father. o.O

With my second one, I just knew but went in when I was around 9 weeks to make it official for military paperwork.

With my third, I had been activated for Iraq and I was preparing to have some very nasty shots (anthrax, etc.) and all women are given a mandatory blood test just to be sure since they vaccines can mess up the fetus pretty bad. It barely picked up my oldest daughter at 3 weeks and even then they weren't sure. They had me wait over the weekend and then they did another one to confirm it. I already had a niggling suspicion before I had the first test though, I just hadn't really admitted it to myself. Needless to say, they sent me home. :)

My fourth, and last one, I knew that night (don't know how but my girls are the only ones I know the exact date and even the time for my youngest.). I don't remember how I made it official. I think I used a test from the local grocery and after awhile went in to see the doc for insurance purposes.

After 10 years of being unable to conceive my DH and I had given up hope of becoming parents. For about two years we were calling ourselves empty nesters and hanging out with people from our church whose children were grown. We had accepted our lot in life and though we were sad, had decided it is what it is.

In the fall of 2009 I started feeling sad and depressed but couldn't figure out why so I started seeing a counselor. A few weeks later I thought I had a stomach virus that was going around my work. Then after several days I started hating certain smells. I realized it had been a while since my last cycle (I wasn't keeping up with them anymore). I didn't want to waste another dime on stupid pregnancy tests because I had taken a million and they were always negative. I decided to go ahead and test just to get the idea out of my mind and not get my hopes up. That stick turned into a plus sign before I finished peeing!! The following week I went to the doctor and we saw a heartbeat. I was six weeks pregnant. When I saw my counselor the next time I told him I wasn't depressed, just pregnant!

We named her Jordan because in Exodus the Israelites wandered in a barren land and when God said it was time they crossed the Jordan River into the promised land. We had wandered in our own barren land and now we have our Jordan. She is a miracle and every time I look at her I praise God and thank Him.

She's sitting in my lap right now as I type trying to touch the keyboard. I have NEVER been happier in my whole life.

I felt 'off' for a couple weeks. I was really tired all the time, and everything felt 'shifted'. I thought I might be prego, but didn't want to jump to any conclusions. Then I missed my period, so I bought an at-home test. I took the test, and my fiance and I looked at the results together. I was very clearly pregnant. The sad thing is that HE was the calm one about it! lol.

My cousin, on the other hand, didn't know she was prego. until she went into labor. She still had a 'period', and she did gain some weight, but she thought that it was because she had been being lazy and eating more, so just normal weight gain. She says that she thought she could be, so she took the at-home tests (multiple times) and they all said no. She even went to the doctor, who told her she wasn't. He told her she had an ulcer, and gave her a prescription medication for that. So later in her pregnancy, she thought that the 'signs' were side effects from the medication. (movement=gas bubbles, the heartburn, etc.) So imagine her surprise when she went to the hospital in pain, and came home with a baby girl! Lol.

My husband and I decided to start trying. 3 1/2 weeks to the day after we, um tried the first time...I was at work and just felt pregnant. It was crazy! I had no symptoms, I just thought I was. We went that night and got a test even though it was 4 days before my period. It was positive...all five of them!

With my son, we weren't trying to conceive and one night I realized I was a day late. I jokingly told my hubby while at Walmart that we should pick up a test. It came out weird (I probably did it wrong), so we then went to Rite Aid and bought 7 more. I took all 7 and they were VERY obviously positive. He was quite a shock of a child.

This time around, I had been feeling like garbage for a week, but figured I was just coming down with something. We had been trying for almost a year, so I figured there was no way. However, when my period didn't come on schedule, I took a test. Again, I figured it would be negative (like all of the others I had taken months prior), but this time it popped up positive. I took 3 more before telling my hubby that night! Both times, I found out right around 4 weeks along.

I was working at a medical vocational school where they had pregnancy tests (for teaching materials).
For a whole month one of my co-workers had me take test after test thinking I was pregnant, they all came back negative.
I got my period.
About 6 or 7 weeks after my period ended I sat down in her office and told her that I was having weird cramps. She asked if my period was irregular, and I told her I only spot bled the night before, but nothing since then. She grabbed me up and had me take another test.
I'll never forget her face and she swung around and yelled "YOUR PREGNANT!" She told me the spot bleeding and the weird cramps were from implantation.
I went in the next week and found out I was 8 weeks.

I was pretty satisfied after having my first and wasnt sure if I wanted another. I was a couple of days late (which occasionally was normal) and decided just to take a test. I took it and it came back neg. and I started bawling! So Im laying in bed crying to my hubby about how I didn't think I wanted another baby but Im so upset maybe I do, just rambling and being over emotional!! :) The next morning I got up and glanced in the bathroom trash can at the neg test one last time and realized that over night it had became positive! I instantly grabbed another, took it and it was positive!

With my first, I was late and took a home pregnancy test and it had a faint 2nd line. I then went to my Dr. and they did a blood test. It was +

With my second, I had gone to my Dr. over concerns of irregular periods. She told me the possibilities like that I may not be ovulating, ovarian cyst, ect... We were wanting to conceive a few months later, but when she told me this could possibly be a problem for conception, we tried to prove her wrong I guess. I went in a few weeks for an ultrasound to look for ovarian cysts and the tech. saw a "sack of cells." I was like "Woohoo!"

I figured it out immediately. My mom told me I'd be sick with out being sick. I took preg test on #1 5 days before missed period and it was positive. #2 preg was the next day after sex. I knew. My boobs hurt and was nauseous the very next day. My hubby thought it was nerves bc I was doing the Avon breast cancer walk that weekend (marathon walk, the 1/2 marathon next day). But I knew!! I knew!!! Of couse I took preg test a week later (like 13 days before period to start) and it came up neg. Went to Vegas for bff's bachelortte, got trashed 1sy night (hey, it was neg!!) but the second night I knew I was right!! Got another test... Positive!! 2 boys later.... I'm done!! No more, at least I think.

With my first I was real tired the week leading up to when Aunt Flo would visit. All of the women in my office new I was TTC so the day after I was to start (I'm as normal as a girl can get) we bought a test during lunch break. I took the test in the back office and waited in the break room. One of my friends I worked with was distracting me with my back to the bathroom door. Another friend went in without me knowing and when she came out the look other face must have said it all because the friends eyes that I was standing with got huge! We all started hugging and crying. (Still to this day my ex has no idea that he wasn't the first to find out. HA!)

My second wasn't as eventful. I wasn't feeling any different leading up to it but again, I was a day late and my husband and I had the tests at home already. I took the test after work and sure enough...we were pregnant. I looked at the test, looked at him and started crying.

Now, I'm 25 wks and 4 days with number three. We weren't trying but we weren't preventing and had decided that maybe it wasn't time and I would go back on the pill if my period came that month. It had been three months since I went off the pill and for some reason this time my cycles were so screwy! I was 3 days late from when I should have started. It was around 8pm and I had had a very hard day at work. I was very upset and bummed out and venting to my husband. I announced to him that on top of it all I still hadn't gotten my period. He asked if he should go get a test and I said sure. When he came home he asked if I was going to go take it and I told him no, I'd take it in the morning. He told me that if I were pregnant I would be now as well as in the morning and asked me to just do it so we would know. We went upstairs I took the test and put it on the back of the toilet. He asked if he could see the test. I wasn't even done going to the bathroom...I reached behind me, grabbed the test and as it passed by me I saw two pink lines. All that came out of my mouth was, "Oh God..." and I handed him the test. I was shocked because I really didn't think that I was and was comfortable knowing that this wan't "the time." Well this little baby knew that it was. We're so excited to meet her in June!

I had a backache that wouldnt quit so I finally went to the doctor and they ran a pregnancy test to be safe before doing an xray and I was 10-12 weeks along. I wasnt supposed to be able to conceive and had always had either non-stop periods or nothing so it wasnt out of the ordinary for me to skip a period. I came home crying and my mom thought I had cancer or something horrible. my whole family was shocked. I was 37. my great-grandmother had a son who is 3 months younger than my mother. the doctor kept telling her she had a tumor. after she delivered she went to her doctors office with the baby and said "here's your nine pound tumor"

I had given up on having children and had told my mom about 3 days before that she should get used to not being a grandmother because it was never going to happen. A few days later on my lunch break I was extremely tired and hungry but nothing sounded good to me. One of my coworkers asked me what was wrong and I told her, she started jumping up and down saying that I was pregnant. I told her there was no way that was possible. Later on my evening break I was sprawled across the table in the break room and one of my male coworkers kept looking at me funny, he asked me if I was ok, and I said yes, just tired. He kept looking at me funny and then finally said "you're pregnant". I said there was no way. He just laughed and said "I've got 6 kids, trust me, you're pregnant." Later that night, I went home and was talking to my hubby, who also was looking at me strangely. I finally got annoyed and asked him what he was looking at, he said "Something's different about you, are you pregnant?" I got upset, and said that's what everyone has been saying today. He talked me into taking yet another pregnancy test (I practically owned stock in them by this time) and it turned positive before I put it down. We went back to my work to buy another one just to be sure and I ran into my male coworker and his wife, who saw me try hide the test behind my back. He said "I was right wasn't I?" I nodded and then he filled his wife in and she started jumping for joy. I was just barely 5 weeks pregnant.

2nd child; period stopped immediately, took a test and I was pregnant. It was wonderful, scary and a blessing.

I was tired all the time, had to pee about 12 times a day (When usually I only went about 2-3 times a day), wasn't as interested in sex as I normally was... And then I missed my period. Took a pregnancy test... positive. Took another pregnancy test a week later... positive. Went to the doctor and took their pregnancy test... positive. Had an ultrasound, and realized I was pregnant.
