I have a cleaning service and we charge $60.00. Call me if you would like to talk more. Elishea ###-###-####
I recently emailed someone from a cleaning company (just a family I think) who was recommended on a forum I read. They gave me an estimate of $75 for my house which is 1790 square feet. I haven't had a house cleaner since moving here so I don't know what the average rates are. Does this sound about right? I can only have someone monthly and I'll be using my Christmas/birthday money, so I want to get a good deal.
Thanks!

My house is 4000 sq ft and they charge $80 every other week. We have had her for 3 yrs now, they do a good job, they also wash my sheets and pillowcases and put them back on before they leave.
Her name is Argelia ###-###-####.
That is probably about average - but with that said you can get much cheaper elsewhere. We used to use a service which was $110 for about 3000 sq ft. We now have about 4000 sq ft and pay someone $80 every two weeks. I am not sure if she is taking new clients, but you might want to try Construction Clean Pros. Betty, the owner, is here on mamasource and has quite a few clients here all happy with her. http://www.constructioncleanpros.com/ She will adjust her pricing up or down depending on how thorough you want so you get exactly what you need. I don't get any extras, but her basic service is just great for me!
Hello, my husband and myself have a small business and do our own work. We cater to individuals needs. We will clean for 3 hours for $60.00 as an introductory. You get to know us and how much we can accomplish for you, without costing you alot of money. I can work you in this week if you need. thank you, C. Anderson ###-###-####
Hi R., first make sure you meet the person and they should give you a quote in person. You want to make sure that you both are on the same page about what you want. The price usually will vary based on what type of floors, how many bedrooms, bathrooms, kids no kids, pets no pets and so forth. I will tell you that if you are only having them come once a month is usually a higher charge. When someone only comes once a month everything has to get done every time. Such as base boards, fans, window sills and blinds if they include that. I am speaking from experince. I own Superior Cleaning and know that everything mentioned comes into play. Good luck
Sincerely,
T. L.

The price you were quoted was a good one for your size home, especially since it would be the initial cleaning (which takes a bit longer since they don't know the home or personal preferences yet).
I have about the same size home space as you and the company I use bi-weekly, Handy Helpers @ ###-###-####, can bill by the time taken, assess the times over about 3 visits, and determine a set rate that's fair. They do a great job for the price and are licensed, bonded, and insured.
I think that is about right. We use Just Come Clean - Amy Simms - ###-###-#### if you want another quote. (I think she just does Collin Co...don't knwo where you are...) Her team is FABULOUS & very thorough...she can supply references.
I have a 3800 sq ft house and the girl that cleans it charges me $70 each trip (she comes twice a month). she doesn't clean everything, but most everything. I negotiated by saying I felt what I needed done could be done in 2-3 hours by 1 person if they didn't have to stop to make lunch, fix juice, and "play" (ha, ha). I figured at $20.00 per hour 3 hours was $60.00, so we compromised on $70.00. I'd tell them you think that is a bit high for your sized house and would prefer someone to actually view the houe to provide a quote. I showed my girl the house in the state it would be when she comes, which means EVERYTHING is picked up. No clothes on the floor, beds made, etc. All she has to do is clean, not pick up, not wash dishes, etc. I think that should make a difference in what you pay. If they have to weed through your stuff to get to the floor, then you should pay more.
Hi R.
We live in Frisco our house is 4600 sq ft. I pay $75 every other week. So you might want to shop around. I know people who pay $10 an hour so they end up paying $30 a cleaning.Good luck finding a good deal!

I pay $70 for a 4000 sq ft house so that seems high to me! She comes every 2 weeks. You may want to shop around a bit.
Hi R.,
I came to your request just to see what the responses were. I have to tell you that we used Tina L. of Superior Cleaning, and she is wonderful. I've already completed a recommendation on her listing on mamasource, but I wanted to reinforce that recommendation here. Good luck in whomever you choose!
My house is a little over 3000 sf. and we pay 90.00 every 2 weeks. She does laundry, sheets, towels...so it is well worth it to me.
Ask them what all this includes.
We have a 2100 sf house and pay $85 every two weeks. And they change and wash the sheets on the beds, in addition to standard vacuuming, dusting, baths, kitchen, etc.
I got quoted $150 for 4000 sq feet and before they were done, AFTER I agreed to let them do it and while they were here they told me they quoted wrong and it was supposed to be $300. On top of that, each person took at least 3 sodas or water home AND asked me for any old towels or wash cloths.
Needless to say, they have not been back I just do it myself and forget the hassle. Use the money for a spa day!!!
hi R.,
thats about what i charge depending on hard wood floors or carpet, what you want done and the amount of time i anticipate it taking me!
good luck to you and if you ever need someone else i clean in the lewisville/flower mound/corinth/hv/carrollton areas!!!
take care
S.
p.s. i have a listing on this site
That price sounds about right. Thats what I pay and my house is 2000 sq ft.
R.,
I think that sounds about right. You did not say what area you are in, I know that can have some effect on the cost. Also, you did not mention if they will use your supplies or bring their own. That sounds like a good price for once a month service. I pay 75.00 per visit for twice a month.Usually the fewer visits per month, the more the cost because obviously there will be more intense cleaning. If they do a good job, I think you have found a good deal!
Yeah...that's pretty good but you should get good service too. There are some independant people that may be more along the lines of $60 but reference checks would need to be done too. I need one after the baby is born next week so let me know how they do, I'll be looking too!
That sounds like a bargain for a first time cleaning. Last year at this time, I paid over $200 for a one time deep cleaning of my house and it's about 1900 square feet. I'm sure that monthly they quoted me around $100 - $125. I think you found a deal.
I used to pay $60 every week, so your bid sounds pretty fair. Weekly is a little less because they come more frequently but ends up being more over the months time. My house is about 2800 square feet.
I live in Grapevine and pay $75 every other week. Our house is 2100 sq. feet.
That seems high to me. I was paying $60 for a one person operation for 4000sf. However, her English wasn't that good. It's a trade-off. She used my cleaning supplies and vacuum which I prefer. She would be here all day and do whatever I needed as far as laundry, etc.. Get a recommendation from a neighbor. They do better knowing their reputation is on the line if more than one person uses them in a neighborhood.
There are a ton of these people out there. Negotiate the first time clean and tell them you want to compare services. This is a luxury and so great to have when your kiddos are little.
Good Luck!
We pay our housecleaner $80 and our house is about 4000 sf. Does she do laundry, etc. ours doesn't, so maybe yours does more than ours?
That sounds better than right to me!
Our house is that size and we pay $80 every two weeks.
Our housekeeper, if we were to ask her to come only once a month, would increase that cost to $90 once a month (since there's just more work to do if you're only doing it once a month.)
So I'd say you got a really good deal!
