I have had a hormone imbalance since I was about your age and I went to a doctor that deals primarily in bio-identical hormones. He did a blood screen on me and found out that I had almost no progesterone in my body. I was experiencing the same symptoms that you are talking about. I would wake up at 2 in the morning and not be able to get back to sleep and then be ready for a nap for thing in the afternoon and it was so hard on me since I was working. There is a progesterone cream at the health food store that you can use and I also had good luck with a pill called New Phase over the counter. These are really great products but I would suggest going and getting your blood drawn first. These products can cause different results and you should get the blood test because I also found out that I was low in several other vitamins also. In the meantime, exercise can help you to some degree. Taking a walk to clear you mind is great. I can say that I do my best thinking at the gym.
