I use coconut oil by NOW. It works great! My hair is so smooth. Some peoppe have hairfall though, in that case they use almond oil. I am having some Indian friends, they are the one who told me.
I had highlights put in my hair and those sections of my hair are REALLY dried out and tangley. What is your best home conditioning treatment? Eggs? Beer? I've heard all sorts of things but wondering if anyone has actually tried anything that worked well.
Lots of good suggestions. Keep em coming! I'm going to try them all till I'm a ball of grease! :)

Olive Oil. If it was good enough for Cleopatra, it's good enough for me! I buy cheap olive oil, heat it in the microwave, and put it on dry hair. Once it's saturated, put a plastic shower cap on. Hit it with the blow dryer for a few seconds to really heat it up. I take that time to rub it into my cuticles, on my elbows, knees, ankles, any dry spots. Shower 30 minutes later.
Olive oil, Coconut oil (you can find it in local Asian/Indian stores), Almond oil - work any combination of any of these 3, depending on what you can get.
Warm up 2 tbsp, and gently apply to your scalp (important to get on scalp) and hair with your finger tips, or using a cotton ball. Use a wide-toothed comb to gently spread and massage, if necessary. Wear a shower-cap and leave-in for at least an hr. Wash off with a mild shampoo. Use a good quality conditioner.
Towel dry gently, and if you use a blow-dryer, use it at mild speed, and with a cool air option if possible.
Should help! :)
Not a home treatment, but after a perm gone wrong followed up with a fry session with a flat iron that left my hair broke off, brittle and orange, I discovered Argan Oil.
My hair is gorgeous! I had the ends trimmed of course, but other than that it's like nothing ever happend. In fact, seems better than before...if possible. It isn't cheap and you'll think it's a bust when you use it because it doesn't suds up like regular shampoo. But it works wonders. There are many brands that sell shampoos, conditioners, and serums with Argan oil in it, but this particular brand did wonders for me :
Use olive oil-it is by far the best conditioner ever! Just leave in for 5-15 minutes and shampoo and condition like normal.
Almond oil. Suggested by my stylist.
I put a few drops on my wet hands and run my fingers through my hair and scrunch at the same time. Tames the frizz, adds body.
I second the olive oil you were recommended, you can also try avocado.

Regular mayo, not fat free. Leave it on for about 30 minutes and wash it out. Good luck!
Not a "home" treatment, but pretty natural. I don't color my hair but I use this because my hair is dry. It is a light oil and it adds shine to my hair. it is leave-in too and it helps with my dry hair. Not a perfect solution, but I like it.

A whole foods employee once advised me to put diluted vinegar on my hair for dryness. It was okay, but i was too lazy to try it more than once. It does something for ph balance.
