Yes, this has happened to me before. For both of my pregnancies, I tested early and received a faded + sign. Both times I was pregnant! I'd get a blood test, especially if you want to be pregnant.

I had 2 at home tests (even the expensive ones) come out negative with my second child. Only to find out with a blood test that I was pregnant.

But I've also had a blood test come back negative, when 5 weeks later I was actually pregnant on a second test. I was 9 weeks by them per the ultrasound! Believe it or not, even the blood tests can give you a false negative!! But I still think your best bet is to do the blood test. Just more accuracy there!!

i used the test with the line and it showed a negative. i went back to the store and bought the more expensive test that actually tells you pregnant or not pregnant. i did that one twice and both times it was pregnant. it costs about $20-25 but it's worth it to know for sure. and a blood test takes a couple days to send out to a lab. i would rather know right away.

Mine was also fadded and I was pregnant. But call your doctor and go in to confirm. I went to my General Doctor because they were able to get me in the next day, my OB wanted to wait until I would have been 8 weeks. Good luck! -E.

You are pregnant. This happened to me. It's just a little to early for the test, that's why it's showing faded.

The test I took when I thought I was pregnant with my second, had a faint line. Sure enough I was pregnant because one my period never started and I went into the doctors due to having complications with my first. So I would wait until your period is suppose to start, and if it doesn't then call your doctor. Take care!

The tests test for a certain hormone in your body. That hormone gets stronger and stronger the further along you get. A faded positive is still a positive, just the hormone isn't real strong yet. I'd say you should consider yourself pregnant! Congratulations!

I never tested positive on home test until further into the pregnancy. If you think you might be pregnant go get a blood test.

I had that happen to me before I knew I was pregnant with my 2nd daughter. I went to the Dr.'s office where I worked and they used a urine preg test and a very faint line showed that the test was positive. The Dr. said that he had never seen that happen before. I too took the test about a week before I was supposed to start my period.

My OB/GYN advised me that if I got a faded line BEFORE my period was late to retest after my period and first thing in the morning. Basically the levels of hormone were there, but not strong enough to make the line darker. Wait until you actually MISS your period and retest. If it's still faint, go get a blood test from your dr. This happened to me but at the time I didn't think it was really a line because it was so faded. But I found out a few weeks later I was pregnant. But I would wait till your period should begin and then if it doesn't call your doctor for an apt. Just to make sure since it is still five days early.Or wait a few days and take another one.

Yes, this happened to me. So I called the manufacturer of the product and they said if ANYTHING shows up in that window (faded or not) you are pregnant! Congratulations!!

Any shade of line no matter how light is a +. As long as it was read w/in the test time frame.

I used the same one. it appeared as though the light was dim on it. A week or two later, I took another and it was real bright! Just wait a couple weeks. Most doctors dont want to see you until your at least 8 weeks anyway and if you take a blood test, it is as accurate as a home pregnancy test. Chances are, congrats on the new pregnancy!

Faded usually equals pregnant!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congrats K., sounds like you've got another on the way! The test measures a hormone in your body that is only there when you are pregnant. It increases by staggering amounts every day in the beginning of pregnancy, so try another test tomorrow. In my medical experience, faded is positive! It means the hormome was detected, just in a smaller amount.

Hi K., I have 4 children and this accually happened to me too! And yes I was pregnant. Though before you celebrate you should wait until your scheduled period to take another test, or make a doctor appointment and get confirmed then. Good Luck to you! J.

I had faded lines with the pregnancy test I took for my daughter...in fact it was 2 in the morning, I took the test and had to turn all the lights on to read it...I was definitely pregnant! Usually the box will say that it doesn't matter if the line is bold or light just to look for lines in both directions (making a plus) to say that you're pregnant. If you're unsure you can take another home test or call your doctor, but I would guess you're pregnant! Congratulations!!!

This also happened to me TWICE! Both times I was pregnant. I would also wait and take another test. Although I will tell you, that one of the faded tests was after my period was supposed to start. Good luck to you.

A line is a line, it doesn't matter how faded it is, you are pregnant! Congrats!

a faded plus is means you're prego!!! congrats!! when i was prego with my third child, i took the pregnancy test like four days before my period was due and my plus was super faded, but it was still a plus. for sure call your doc so you can start your vitamins. good luck!!!

This actually happened to me, also. The lines were fuzzy and it was hard to read. What I recommend is the test (I'm not sure on the brand), it states "pregnant" or "not pregnant". It turned out I was pregnant. Hope this helps.
