Like most people I spend most of my time in the kitchen baking away.. This year i wanted to make something new, yeah the same cookies and whatnot are good but it was nice when i found some recipes that i didnt have that would go with the hoilday season.

So i wanted to share with you this site http://mightygoodrecipes.blogspot.com/ .. simple and easy, and the ones i have made so far came out wonderful!!
I'm always looking for more recipes, have any you want to share?

I make cake truffles - just bake cake, cool, crumble and mix in a tub of frosting. Place in fridge until able to roll into balls, then dip in chocolate. Last year I made straweberry cake with white frosting and milk chocolate (chocolate covered strawberries), this year I am doing red velvet cake with a can of diet cherry coke (weight watchers recipe) dipped in dark chocolate to make chocolate covered cherries. I've also done german chocolate ones...the possibilities are endless and they are easy.
Another fun thing I've been doing the past couple years are jars of apples and mix for apple crisp. In the fall, I go pick apples and jar away. They can be kept for pretty much forever so people can make when they want - they are a big hit!

I have a blog too and have been "hosting" the 12 Weeks of Christmas Cookies for the last 11 weeks. This week is our final week--so hard to believe! I've had an average of 35 other bloggers linking up with their recipes too. So there are TONS to choose from. If you'd like to check it out you can find them under the 12 Weeks of Cookies tab on my blog at www.mealplanningmagic.com. Funny thing is that I'm a little sad that our baking together will be coming to an end soon. But I'm so glad that my freezer is full of cookies that I can pull out for our different holiday activities!
