We have the Stokke Tripp Trapp and love it. We started using it when the girl was just sitting up, so we also used the 'baby accessories' to provide more stabilization. She is 20 months now and we can say "Ready, for breakfast? Go get in your chair" and she is able to crawl up and sit down. She also knows how the straps work, so she'll put those over her shoulders and wait for us to buckle her in.
Some of the selling points for us:
- money vs. use - with this chair, it can grow with her. She can use it for a very long time.
- durability - it is able to hold a 200+ lb. adult and has great construction. It really will be able to hold up as long as we want it to.
- style - looks more like furniture instead of another big plastic kid thing that we would just end up trying to sell or throw away in the end.
- washability - the whole thing is easy to wash, including the cushions.
- size - these chairs are table height. no need for a high chair tray. Our baby is able to sit and eat right at the table with the rest of the family. The chairs also maintain nearly the same footprint as a normal dinner chair. No big bulky thing that needs to be stored elsewhere. It stays at the table like a normal chair.
Hope that helps. Let me know if you have any specific questions!
