High Chair Recommendations

I recently got the Graco Blossom and really like it. It is more "contemporary" looking than others and converts 4 ways. You can use it as a highchair, or take off the upper part and attach it to a chair (i.e. to take to Grandma's for the weekend), or later attach a separate booster seat that comes with it, or remove everything and it's a youth chair. I figure we'll be using it til my daughter is maybe 4 or 5. It goes high enough to pull it to my counter-height breakfast island which is nice. And so far, it's easy to clean and I like that it has 3 tray options! Get one dirty, just pop it off and use the one underneath haha.
One note: although it comes in different "patterns", the only part that's actually patterned is the infant insert, so once you are done with that it's pretty much a beige/neutral chair (fine with M.!)

I, too, can only tell you which one not to get - the Peg Perego Prima Pappa. Too many bells and whistles and nooks and crannies to clean! I don't know why I've kept it so long and am considering ditching it for our 3rd baby.

I have the Chicco Adventure and love it. Still using it at age 2. Easy to clean and folds to be compact if I need it out of the way. We have a booster that straps to a chair and it's great too but definetly not usable with an infant or child that cannot sit up on it's own.

I won't give you a recommendation, but I will tell you which one NOT to buy! The Eddie Bauer wooden high chair from Target looks great, but is a PAIN to clean! We've scrubbed most of the stain off of the seat area because it's so hard to get food and juice off -and there are these little spindles on the sides of the seat that are a monster to clean around! Stay away -stay far, far away! I'm so happy my 2 year old is now completely at the table and refuses to sit in it. It's headed to Goodwill this week, although I feel I should post a disclaimer on it!

We had the Chicco high chair. It was sturdy and folded nicely to fit into tight storage. My parents have the Fisher Price one that attaches to the dining room chairs. They love it and my son has done really well in it- it converts from a high chair to a booster easily. The only thing I would say is that they use this with a chair that has "arms" and I think it makes it sturdier. Several friends have the chair-mounted one and love it too!

Take it out and try it once or twice before you return it. Keep in mind that high chairs are relatively short-lived (6-8 months) so you don't want to spend a fortune!

I love my peg perego high chair. It is 4 1/2 years old and now being used a second time around with my second son. The seat inclines and I was able to use it when my son was a little baby and now that he is older it is sitting straight up. The seat comes off for easy cleaning and the seat also can be lowered to almost ground level which is great for my son when I need to do some dishes and he can sit in their at his older brothers hight and watch him play in the play room.
