Help...How Do I Really Clean Tile Kitchen Floors!?!?!?!

I am in the cleaning mode...I need to get this grime and dirt out of my tile floor. What is the best method/cleaning product to use? I don't want to spend tons of money having a comany do it.

What can I do next?

You need time and a mr. Clean magic eraser. Do it now before that tile is too cold to sit on. You can sit on an old pillow or towel and get a bucket of water and the eraser and go around the floor cleaning it. Then mop, maybe with a steam mop. Then go to a home improvement store and get the mop on sealer. Whala, clean floor.

Vinegar can cut through a lot of nastiness on a tile floor. Also, if it's REALLY bad, get a deck brush (it looks like a push broom, but the bristles are stiffer). That is what restaurants use to deep-clean their kitchen floors. At a certain point, mopping won't remove any deep-set dirt, but a deck brush will loosen it up, and then you can mop it away. If (god forbid) you have light-colored grout, try the Clorox Bleach Pens. At our last house, I realized that the grout in my entry way wasn't supposed to be charcoal gray... used the Clorox Pens and a deck brush, and voila! My grout was white again! (Who in the world uses white grout in an entry way?! I was so happy to move out of that house...)

Vinegar, water, baking soda and a toothbrush or small scrub brush. Don't get the grout too rough, or else you'll dislodge grout. After all is clean, get grout sealer from lowes or home depot (they even have a roller dispenser that makes it so easy!) Seal your grout every six months or so depending on how often and how you mop.
If it is just the tiles, the same process, minus the sealant, unless it is natural stone tiles (we have slate in a shower and I have to deep clean no baking soda and re-seal at least once a year) in that case, clean and seal.
good luck and think of all the calories you will burn as you scrub the floors:)

Is this pourous tile with lots of crevices?

For my kitchen tile, the ONLY thing that works is a steam mop and me on my hands and knees scrubbing with a brush after the steam is applied. Takes a long time, but so worth it!

Definitely vinegar or a steam mop. To clean grout, use a mix of equal parts cream of tartar and vinegar, scrub with a brush and rinse well. Back breaking work, but it ends up looking great.
