K., I went back to work when my daughter was 3months old... she refused to take the bottle for about 3weeks to a month-- it took that long for her not to be cranky and to accept the bottle... The only one that she would take is the bottle that literally looks like a breast (i cant think of the name of it)it is in first step catalog...everyone used to laugh because it reminded them of the meet the fockers movie :) but, I just wanted to let you know that she will eventually catch on... my mother watches my daughter and she almost pulled her hair out for a month trying to get her to take the bottle... SHE WILL NOT STARVE...I was beside myself also...she will eventually get it!!! I will let you know the name of the bottle or you can look on the one step ahead website... I am a nurse so I asked the lactation consultant what I could do to help her adjust and she said to put the nipple in your shirt for a while to pick up the scent, leave a shirt at home with the baby, put her in a bouncy seat or away from the body(some say to put them close to the body with your shirt, who knows???), squirt some of the breast milk in her mouth before you give her the bottle or put breast milk on the nipple of the bottle, dont give her the bottle yourself- leave the room and have someone else to give the bottle to her- she might not take it from you... hope some of this helps, if you have anymore questions let me know, i have been through it recently!!! I will find out the name of that bottle and let you know.
Thanks,
M.
