Help to Transition to Sippy Cup

Hi!

I did the same as Anne, suddenly we couldn't find my daughters bottle, we searched all over the house and I gave her the sippy cup and voila' she took right to it!

My son did the same thing. I bought one of those rubber top "nubby" cups at walmart and he got used to the sippy shape but still had the rubber, i intruduced a plastic top one, a few weeks later and he transitioned beautifully

Hi L.. I had to show my daughter exactly how the water/milk comes out of the sippy cup. At first, the cups that require a good amount of suck were hard for her to understand. She would take a sip and then scream for her bottle. I bought a really cheap cup without a plug/stopper and kept showing her over and over how the fluid comes out. I would show her on a surface and then into her mouth. It was messy and took a few trys but eventually she got it. Then I started trying with the Playtex Sippy cups again and she caught on. Just be persistent. He'll get it!

Maybe try another type sippy cup, you would be surprised how different they all are, my daughter was easy, but I went through alot of different ones until we found the one my son would use. The other suggestion is a juice box, they love using the straws.

When my kids were going through this transition, I just "lost" the bottle. It suddenly disappeared ... it took a little while but definitely worked!
