I need help finding a good pillow that is appropriate for a toddler. I would think it should be flatter than most regular pillows but I am interested in what most folks do. Looking to find somethng that will not hurt her neck and cause any issues. I have a 2.5 daughter who is in transition to a bed from her crib.

We got the Nojo pillow from Babies R Us for our daughter as her first pillow. I think it was from Babies R Us- it is flatter than most pillows and comes with a silky pillowcase if I remember correctly. I don't remember it being too expensive either. She loved it and still keeps it on her bed.
And I love your description of you- it helps us remember how special our kids are and how lucky we are to be parents!

I bought these great pillows from Costco for my girls (2&4). They come in a pack of 2 and are super soft and super squishy. My 2 year old has become very attached and we even have to travel with it.

I use the travel pillows from Walgreens. You can even buy little pillowcases for them. I believe they are about $3.00 each.
For all three of my kids I actually got cheap pillows from Sears and they all flattened out quite a bit(I was always a little paranoid about suffocation!). I started with no pillows(but my kids were in beds before 2), then I added one pillow, and then a second once they got a bit older. There are toddler pillows out there though - this is one I found:
