Hi Meridith!
Email me and we can chat about how I can stay home with my 2 kids. Let me share this opportunity with you.
I am married with 2 kids. It is becoming more and more important to me -to us as a family-that I be home more for my girls. We really don't have a lot of credit card debt. In fact, that will be all paid off in a month. Our cars are paid for, but we have a large house payment. My oldest daughter goes to pre0school and even if I decreases the lenght of time for her to be ther, I would still pay $400 month. However, if I didn't have to pay for my other daughters daycare we would save $560 a month. I have always worked, and never even considered staying home before. But as my kids get older, I am seeing that I am not giving them the best of me. After a long day at work, unfortunatly my kids are getting the tired, and worn down mommy. On the weekends, when we should be playing, I am cleaning house. I think I would like to work sometimes. Part time maybe or from home, but I have no ideas how to get started on this. How hard is it to go from a working mom to a non working mom? I mean a mom that works outside the home. Believe me, I would never say that being a sahm mom is not working....EVER. I know better. But for those of you that did quit your outside jobs, was is hard to deal with? Did you have trouble managing the finances? Do you ever wish you hadn't left the work force? There are so many things to consider. I am scared.
Hi Meridith!
Email me and we can chat about how I can stay home with my 2 kids. Let me share this opportunity with you.
I stay at home with my girls and the first time I did it, I hated it because I never left the house. I wanted some adult interaction but now that this is the second time, I can appreciate being at home more. My girls are in school all day but when they get home I have more patience to deal with them and my husband. Mine are about the same age as yours, 4 and 2 and it can be a handful after working all day long and then coming home to deal with them. You have to also find something to do while at home because sitting around (not to say that's what you'll do) will cause you to become bored quickly.
I am taking some college courses as well so that helps the day go by faster. Overall, I love being at home all day, I love being available to my girls to help with home work or to play with them and to do hair and baths more often and I don't feel overwhelmed. It's an even greater option if you are trying to save money. Right now my husband is the sole provider and my girls still are in school but if they had to come out, i've researched some home schooling lessons to teach the girls that are similar to the education they are getting now.
Hi M.!!
Look into
www.homeandgardenparty.com/home?webid=shoppingwithvera
They are a home based business, but there are a few things different about them:
1) They are a Christian Company...not just based on Christian Principles, but really acting that way every day. The Ladies help eachother succeed.
2) They look at themselves as a "Family Business"-created to give women options about staying home, but still helping contribute financially to the household for extras. My sister is a SAHM and she pays for dance lessons and the extras for the kids and even family vacations with a few shows a month.
3) Rather than waiting until next month to receive your commission, you receive most of your commission upfront...the night you work!!
If you or any mommy's out there are looking for such an opportunity, please go to the website above and just check it out.
God Bless!!
Have you tried Avon? My first recruitment check was 74.00. I receieved ont today for 396.00. Plus a $75.00 bonus! It is fun and you can do it from home, but you still need to get out of the house. I usually bring my son with me for recruitment and deliveries. Let me know if you are interesed. www.youravon.com/cshai or email me at ____@____.com
I just saw an Oprah show with Suzie Orman.
Basically:
List out your monthly income (you and hubby), then list your monthly expenses, then list what you have in an "emergency fund", then list out what you have left over or not each month. And project what future expenses will be down the road.
Then based on that, make a wise decision if you can swing it.
Suzie Orman says, that also DO NOT use your "emergency fund" or retirement savings as money you will tap into... it should be left intact, and that a family in this economic times, should have at least 8 months worth of savings.
For me, I am a SAHM, and have been since my first child was born 6 years ago. No, we are not "rich", but this is what we decided together. It's not easy, and you go without for yourself... no pedicures, no salon hair-cuts, no monthly luncheons with girlfriends at fancy restaurants etc. BUT.. I would not trade it for the world... I am home with my children raising them myself and that is the priority for us. And yes, our savings are not like it used to be, and you don't have a lot of "extra" money to throw around, and whatever I do have left over goes towards my kids... versus "treats" for myself. My Husband also works full time, and goes to school. We live on his 1 paycheck... which is not a lot. But, we have managed. We also have garage sales to get rid of stuff and to make some side money. And, our relatives have been generous with our kids, and my friend give us her kids clothing that her own kids have outgrown... so that cuts down on $$ I have to spend on my own kids clothing etc. So that is just an example.
Be prepared for not living "large" or as you are used to. I have an online boutique I do from home too... but the income from that is up and down.. and not as good now with the economy the way it is. ANY sales related "jobs" are like that now. And yes, the credit card bills may start to increase.... if you stay home.
I never regret leaving the workforce... to stay home with my kids. Daycare and such would be an astronomical cost.... so my staying home and raising my kids and homeschooling them before Preschool is good and saves money. And my eldest goes to public school. So we pay no tuition costs for now.
Good luck,
Susan
Hi M., I know what you are going through. Making the decision to be a stay at home mom is a hard one. I have been a stay at home mom for almost a year and it is working out great. One of the things that was hardest for me was not being social with other adult every day. I felt like I was sort of in a cave. I started with Southern Living At HOME in Jan. and that really helped out a lot! Now I am around other ladies in a fun enviroment. I can make my own schedule, and contribute to our income, which is really nice in this economy. And I get to be home with my kids. Quiting your day job is quite a lifestyle change but, I am sure it will all work out for your family, so don't worry. If you want to learn more about Southern Living go to my website www.southernlivingathome.com/danacarey if you have any questions email me at ____@____.com
Best of luck! Dana

Hi M.,
I completely understand where you are coming from! I currently run a preschool and my husband is in sales, but we have no time for our kids; besides the fact that we recently moved and it's much more expensive to live in CA. Anyhow, after a long search, we found an opportunity and an organization whose focus is to help mommies (and daddies, if they so choose) stay at home with their kids, but comfortably, not skimping and sacrificing everything....We have a 4 y.o. and a 2 y.o. and currently work full time, yet this bus. is so flexible and supported by a phenomenal business mentorship organization. I am slated to be able to cut back on my hours in the next 12 months, and come home completely in the next 18-24 months, never to have to work, again. =0) My passion is to help other mommies do the same, if they so choose. Our bus. is so legit the Fed. Trade Commission uses us as an example for other companies. We're number ONE in health and beauty sales in the WORLD and have just partnered with YMCAs accross the country to promote a new wellness initiative.
No inventory. Flexible. We help you succeed so you are not on your own. Very family-focused.
If this has piqued your interest at all, just shoot me an email. If I can help you transition home and give your kids the best you, I'd love to do so!
Be strong and laugh often,
L. =0)

Hi M., I worked outside the home before my husband and I got married, he was very old fashioned about the wife mom being home/ his mom had to work all the time so he know what it was like to be a child and have your mom always gone, so he wanted me to stay home, which was what i wanted as well, everything was good until he retired from the Navy, and all's we had to live off of was his retiremnet which coverd the mortage but that was it,we tried a couple of home based businesses but they didn't work, so I decided to run a Daycare from our home, and I love it I have done this now for 11 years, like any job it has it's pros and cons, and although my kids are ll grown, my 21 year old and my 19 year old are still at home ( love it ) so I am happy to still be at home, I charge 110.00 a week per child, I am licensed for 8 so times 8 by 110.00 a week that is big money, right now I amd down to 3 kids, due to Military moves but I am still making 1320.00 a month, I usally just do 6 kids cause i can do more with them thatn when I have 8, but with 3 more kids that 1320 will double. plus I love working with the kids, in my church my husband and I teach 4 & 5 year olds and I love these kids dearly. J. L.
It has been really hard for us financially, but we made it work. We make a lot of sacrafices...dinners out, fancy cars...jet skis...a big house...etc.. But my kids have plenty of warm clothes, a roof over head and plenty to eat....and lots and lots of mommy time. You just sacrifice to make it work. I buy the boys clothes second hand or on clearance...because they outgrow so fast anyway that clothes don't really get worn out. I try and shop and the end of summer for next summers clothes...a season ahead cause that is when it is really cheap! I do a lot of bargain shopping and clearance shopping. Don't ask me how we make it work, but we do. Anyway...what I am saying is that you just make it work. It requires sacrifice but the payoff is so great! Kudos to you for seeing that your kids need you and wanting to be around for them!
Hi M.,
That is a great reason to want to stay home!! I had a f/t corporate career whose income was slightly higher than my husbands when we adopted our son. There was no question that we both wanted me to stay home with him. So, point #1, you both should be on board with the decision. (that will make the sacrifices and financial decisions easy because you both are agreeing to do this). Then try as much as possible to prepare in advance. For example, we actually downsized our home at the time and we started to live on my husband's income for 6mos before I quit my job. (my paychk would go into our savings acct or used for emergency only). We did start to feel the pinch so I did start to look for additional income sources. Looking back, if I had the opportunity to generate this additional income BEFORE quitting my job, I would have jumped on it.
I would love to share with you the opportunity I found that offers me an additional source of income without having to sell, stock or deliver products, without doing party planning outside the home and without having to do billings or collections. You can visit my website below... It's a real opportunity with no risk and no large investment like lots of home businesses require. In this economy who wouldn't want to generate additional income!!
Best wishes on your search.
C.~
I am a Work At Home Mom who has struggled for years, and with the economy the way it is running your own business from home is just about the only way or additional way to bring in the extra income your family needs.
I had to weed through a lot before coming across the right business for me, but at least it came around at the right time :-).
If you are ambitious, motivated, and don't believe in Get Rich Quick Opportunities, than visit my website below and take a tour of what my business is about. Our team offers 100% Support and Training, so the only way you can fail is if you want to. http://www.mychocolaterocks.com

I know the feeling. I have 5 kids, one who just started Kindergarten, 3 in high school, and 1 in college.
I have been home for 4 years after working outside of my home my entire adult life.
I started with doing home daycare. Though I do enjoy it, it takes over all of your time and house, but, it has been worth it to be able to stay at home with my son. And be there for my 3 teenage girls!!!! High school and middle school are tough for kids and I am glad that I am home to know what they are ALWAYS doing.
Now that my son has started kindergarten, I am trying a new adventure. I just became a distributor of health and wellness products. Though there is some start up cost involved, the potential to make that back and so much more are huge!!!! I made $120 profit for working 2 hours friday night. If you would like some more info on that, I would be happy to share it with you.
Check out doing home daycare also if you have the patience for that, it can be hard getting kids, but once you do, it works out pretty good financially, just the lack of your own time is tough.!!!
Hi M.! I know when I quit my job to stay home, I went a little stir crazy and our finaces got really tight! I decided to look for something I could do from home, so I could still be with my 2 daughters, but also earn some money and help my husband! I work with an amazing team from home and I love it. If you would like some info, visit http://enjoymyfreedom.com and I'd be happy to share the details! Hope you find what is right for you!
