I just found my daughter's fave shirt. It is white and looks like a ink pen has sat in it or something. Has a dime shape circle on it. Is it now a play shirt or can I get it back to normal?

What can I do next?

Carbona stain devils. Little yellow bottles I get them at walmart near the dyes. I have not used the one for ink but have used the one for colors thta ran on a quilt I was cross stiching and it put everything back where it belonged like magic. Some people will say hair spray but I never had any luck with that on ink. If the shirt is plain white and you can not get the ink out then at a girl scout meeting have all the girls bring an old shirt and get fabric pens and let them decorate them up you can camouflage the stain.

Try hairspray and also there is a stain remover called Wine Away I use when my husbands pen leaks in his shirt pocket. You can get Wine Away at most specialty Wine stores.

Oh ... Ink is so hard to get out. I too have found success using hairspray if the stain is fresh and you catch it before it is dried. I'm afraid to say that once ink is dried in, it's very difficult to get it out.

I struggle with ink stains more than I'd like because my sweet husband is always forgetting to take pens out of his shirt pockets. If I forget to look, I can end up with several pieces of clothing with ink spots.

Oxy clean does not take out ink stains but I've found a little product that has worked well most of the time. It's called "GRANDMA'S SECRET SPOT REMOVER". I purchased mine at Hobby Lobby in the fabric department but if you are in Granbury, I know you can pick it up at the new little quilt store called "SEW KRAZEE" on Pearl St.

That might end up a play shirt. But first I would try letting it sit in shout for a while. One friend swears by oxyclean, just let it sit in over night. Good luck!

If it is ink pen - spray hairspray on the spot and then use a papertowel and press on it. Do this over and over & eventually all of the ink will come up. I don't know why hairspray works on ink, but it does. Good Luck!

Go to the web and look up ink stains. I didn't have luck when it came to my favorite white jacket, but you might. i just took food coloring out of a white table runner. I soaked it in bleach and water over night and washed it 3 times with Tide with bleach. Don't let it dry until the stain is removed or you will never get it out (my experience only). I hope you get it out or a shopping trip might be in your future.

I've recently started putting Borax in my laundry along with detergent and it's gotten out some outrageous stains I thought would never come out. Sometimes it takes a few washes, so just don't dry it until it's out or you've given up! :)
