Mamas please help!! I have a large orange Gatorade stain on our beige bedroom carpet. Neither Resolve nor Oxiclean fadedit at all. :( Any ideas??? Thank you.
My husband persevered (I had lost hope and was ready to call the professionals), and he got it outwith an ammoniasolution, a cloth diaper and a hot iron. I'm glad he's so stubborn! Thanks for your responses.
Try Capture- it is a dry chem cleaner you can buy at Home Depot. I have used it for some pretty nasty pet stains- it may take 2 applications, but it works!
I also use Folex and it works pretty good. I have very light, off-white carpet and 4 boys so you can imagine the stains I get. For my "tougher" stains I use Blue Magic Carpet and Spot Lifter. I have only been able to find it at Wal-Mart in the automotive department. I recently used it on an old red stain and it came out. Hope this helps!
I've heard good things about Capture, too; but I've also found that Folex works well -- you can find it at the grocery store, Target...anywhere. It's a larger white spray bottle with purple lettering. I never tried it until we had a stain that would just NOT come out, and my husband went and bought every stain cleaner they had at the store; the Folex got it out right away, without any damage to the carpet. I 2nd the Capture. They have a wonderful stain remover that does better than anything else I have ever tried.
For stains like that, I don't even touch them. I call our carpet guys out for a spot treatment. They are great and offer fast service! Since it has already been treated, it might be more difficult to get out. Let me know if you want a number for these guys.
