Did you have sex?
If yes, you could be pregnant.
My crystal ball is broken.
But honestly - a faint line? You're pregnant.
Suz T., I think I'm in love. Now I have to go wipe coffee off my computer screen.
Im on the birth control nexplanon. Here recently I have had bad headaches and heartburn. I feel flutters in my stomach also. Ive took 3 test two were negative and one had a very faint line. I feel the exact same way as I did when I was pregnant with my son. Should I go get a blood test done. Im not sure what to do.

Congratulations you are pregnant. You can have false negative but not false positives (unless it's a hysterical pregnancy). Since the pregnancy hormone is present so you are pregnant.
this is the PERFECT time to ask this question, on the new moon.
follow these instructions exactly.
find the nearest oak tree. remove all your clothing, and lie down underneath it. make sure your body is touching the trunk of the tree at some point, doesn't matter which body part.
close your eyes, and keep them closed. do NOT open them no matter what. seriously. this is super important. if you open them, you may not like what you see, and you will certainly ruin everything.
intone in a flat monotone, 'O slug a moon, o slug a moon, o grant thy faithful hedgehog's boon.'
do not substitute your own words. also very important. and keep your inflection as flat as you possibly can. singing it or varying your tone will mean it takes way longer to work.
let your thighs relax. you don't want to open yourself too much, but you have to allow a little access.
keep the chant going until you feel a THUNK in your uterus area. it will be very distinct, no way to mistake it like that silly pregnancy test line.
you can get up and get dressed at this point.
pay close attention to the next type of animal you see. if it's any sort of winged thing, you are for sure pregnant. but if it's a mammal (of any sort at all) you're not.
if it's an insect the test is indeterminate and you've got to start all over again.
good luck!

J.,
Welcome to mamapedia!
Now go to the doctor. Seriously. Do you expect a group of strangers on the internet to know if you're pregnant?
GO TO THE DOCTOR!!!
If you've had unprotected sex - even with the nexplanon - you should still be using condoms or another form of birth control if you don't want another child right now.
I don't understand WHY you don't know what to do. Sweet mother of God!! GO TO THE DOCTOR!!!!
Headaches and heartburn are symptoms of many, many things, not just pregnancy. I'm not sure what types of "flutters" in your stomach you are feeling, but it's not possible for you to feel the baby moving until you're about 16 weeks along. So even if you are pregnant, those flutters are not the baby.
A "faint line" is still a positive pregnancy test. So as long as you followed the directions on the pregnancy test, there's a very good chance you are pregnant.
I'd go see a doctor.
Me too.
However, since I've been menopausal for 4 years I'm pretty sure I'm not pregnant, my headache is weather related (temps jumped more than 30 degrees where I am), my upset stomach is due to the meds I've taken for my headache, and my intestines are gurgling from gas.
I'm fairly sure I've got a mild case of weather migraine but since I only get this in the spring or fall when the weather tends to jump all over the place, there's not much to do about it but wrap a heating pad around my head and endure it for a few days till I adjust.
Really - no one on line can give you any specific info on what is medically happening with you.
I read in an old Merck manual once that definite proof of pregnancy is delivery of a baby - up till then, any number of things can mimic pregnancy.
So either wait a few weeks and take another pregnancy test, or go see a doctor or Planned Parenthood and they will be able to help you.
I hope what ever it is that it's the answer you're hoping for!
Good luck!
If it were me, and I thought I might be pregnant, and I was confused by my pregnancy test results - and kept taking them - I'd go in and ask an expert (doctor, Planned Parenthood, clinic..). That's my advice.
My understanding of that birth control is that it's highly effective, one of the best. So my personal thought here is you're not. Unless it's not working somehow. So again - go see the doctor who implanted it.
As for your symptoms - they could be related to many other things. Flutters for me, came much later.
What is it that you are looking for from this forum? Can you be more specific about what the "anything" is that you are hoping for from a bunch of moms all over the country - I can't see what answers we can give you!
I'd say to go to Planned Parenthood and get a more accurate test. If you don't have a primary care doctor (and you should), then go to PP (as for sliding scale pricing based on your income if you don't have insurance) or call your son's pediatrician and ask for a referral.
Because of the faint line, I'd get the blood test ASAP in case the Nexplanon needs to be removed.
If you had sex, yes you can be pregnant. The only one who can be sure is the doctor.
If I were you, I would wait nine months. If a baby pops out of your vagina, congrats! You're pregnant! If no baby pops out in nine months, you're not pregnant. Good luck!
Well, even if some of us were doctors, whether or not you're pregnant is not something that can be guessed over the Internet. Even psychics have yet to win the lottery and they're supposed to be able to see the future!
How long has it been since you missed your period? I get migraines and heartburn often and if that meant one must be pregnant, I would have been pregnant over 100 times. That obviously has not happened. Factors that may trigger such symptoms can be hormonal, related to something you ate, acid reflux, etc.
In conclusion, the symptoms you're experiencing are not exclusive to a pregnancy and if you really want to know if you're pregnant, no one can answer that without further testing. Either visit a Planned Parenthood clinic or your ob /gyn for further testing and confirmation. None of us can answer that question for you. Good luck.
Considering you have a birth control implant in your body and you think you might be pregnant, for the baby's sake, YES, go get a blood test done. "Nexplanon should be removed if a person becomes pregnant and is interested in maintaining the pregnancy, " Don't mess around if you think are pregnant and want to stay pregnant.
No birth control is 100% effective.
You can be pregnant if you had sex.
NO birth control is 100%.
If you want to know for sure then get a blood test. If you like living in limbo, wait a couple weeks and the pee on a stick again.
Geesh. Not rocket science.
If the faint line appeared in the time window in the instructions then you are pregnant. Wait a week and test again or go and see your doctor. If you have had a child already, I'm guessing you know what to do.
Do you get a regular monthly period? If so wait until its time for your next monthly and then take a test. Your hormones might also be out ofwack depending on how long youve been on your birth control if it was just recently put in then that could explain the headaches etc. another thing is you might of been pregnant before you had the birth control put in. Its hard to give advice based on what you have stated. Any more information would be helpful. And if you are worried about being pregnant theres alot of resources that can help you or maybe your just worried that if you are pregnant the birth control might be harming the baby. Well I hope some of this helps Good luck
you had a faint positive? then yes your pregnant. now go to the dr and discuss your options. yes. get a blood test too. with medical issues your best option is to call the dr and talk to them.. thats what you should do.
Thank you for your question J..

I would probably go to the local health department and ask if they can do a pregnancy test. Then it's free, usually it's free, and find out for sure.
If you are still not satisfied with the answer then go to the OB/GYN for a blood test. That will say for sure, no doubts.
why don't you check on your doctor to remove all your doubts !

Congratulations!!
kidding, but in all seriousness as many have stated, see your OBGYN!
