Happy Easter!
I love dying eggs, egg hunts and fixing the baskets for my kids. We also make a bunny cake every year like my mother made for me when I was a kid, so I like that too.
Enjoy this Good Friday, Passover, Easter Sunday. Enjoy your family and this beutiful spring weather.
I need a question, so, What's your favorite part of Easter? Mine is creating the Easter Basket for my kids. From the little ones all the way up through my 18 and 19 yr old. I love choosing stuff for the basket. I also love the music at Church on Sunday morning. It's differant on that day. More triumphant and joyful, mixed with a few old hymms. Love it.

The processional and recessional at church are always extra special on Easter. The processional hymn is always "Christ the Lord is Risen Today." The "alleluias" in it are the best part of the year. The choir will sing additional selections, and the organist plays an extra special postlude that most people will sit and listen to at the end of the service. I always think that is what heaven will sound like.
This kind of sums it up for me:
Today, the smell of hard boiled eggs, vinegar, fish, and chocolate in my house!
Yum!
:)
I love coloring the eggs with the kids. Even the older ones get involved and its a fun family time.
Then hiding the eggs and the kids searching for the baskets and eggs.
The family getting together and just having fun and enjoying each others company while watching the kids play.
Plus I admit I love... while the kids hate it.... seeing them all dressed up :)
Happy Easter to you and your family
First church, followed closely by chocolate!!! And lamb. And asparagus... I might be a little obsessed with food.
My kids flipping out over eggs and baskets.
And caramel Cadbury eggs
the memory of my grandfather insisting on dying his own Easter eggs up to the time he died...at age 81! He LOVED doing this for the babies in the family.
I also love the sweetness of the children singing Praise!
I love church on Easter but my favorite *thing* is watching the amazed joy of my my sons when I tell them "Yes, you *can" eat that chocolate candy now" (at 6 am).
