Has Anyone Used Gro Baby??

I have recently switched to cloth diaper. I am currently using bum genius OS but when we go out we are using Gdiapers. Due to cost I would rather use cloth when we go out but having to carry around a whole diaper seems pretty inconvenient- What do other mom's do? I have been looking into Gro Baby diapers and it seems they are similar to gdiapers but instead of throwing away the insert you can wash them. And they snap in so they stay in place. Has anyone else used these and if so do you like them??

What can I do next?

Hi J.,

I have a Gro Baby and am really liking it. It is nice to be able to reuse the shell. The organic cotton soakers are really absorbent, too. I don't think they are the greatest on really small babies, but from 12 lbs or so would be good. Here's a link to my store and the Gro Baby:

Let me know if you have any questions. I'm happy to answer them. My phone # is ###-###-#### also.

When we are out and about we like to use pocket diapers with a hemp insert, they are super thin compared to other cloth diapers and easy to change. We just carried a small wet bag for dirty diapers. There is a lady in Colorado Springs that sells the hemp inserts: http://www.babycottonbottoms.com/playallday_hemp_inserts.htm

I haven't used Gro Baby, but maybe my experience will be helpful anyway. We use cloth diapers too - prefolds held with a Snappi, with a cover (Wonder Wraps one-size). The covers can be reused until they get super wet or get poopy, so when I go out, I bring as many prefolds as I think we'll need and just one cover (although I don't usually need to change the cover). Wet prefolds go in a "wet bag." It's worked great for day outings. On a few vacations we've run out of prefolds & weren't able to do laundry so we bought disposables.

I am a BumGenius lover! I use the pocket diapers and don't have a problem putting a couple in my diaper bag. I use wetbags for the dirties (weebunz.com or cottonbabies.com). I have never had a problem. My son has been using them for a year now, and I think that they have more than paid for themselves! Good luck finding what works for you.

You can also use cloth inserts with gDiapers, lots of information on their website, and G-Mums has a Yahoo Group also with tons of info that other moms have posted & answered questions asked.
