Has Anyone Had a Fat Transfer to Buttocks?

I am considering a fat transfer to my buttocks due to the fact that I have a flat butt which makes me feel conscious because I need some volume in that part of my body to balance it out evenly. I got the estimate and everything, and planned to do it, and after I committed to a minimal "down-payment" to show I was serious about getting the surgery done within a year, the financial coordinator mentioned "by the way, when we do a fat transfer, it will look like the fat is on the upper part of your buttocks, and the only way to properly distribute it throughout, is to have some sessions with a massagist that will massage the area properly; it will be $300 for 6 sessions if you're interested." I was blown away, not only about the fact that she neglected to mention this initially, but it also sounds far-fetched, like a gimmick, in order to get more money out of me. Therefore, I was hoping to find someone who had done this procedure or someone who knows what exactly goes into this procedure to help me determine if these massages are something legitimate and absolutely necessary. I don't want to end up with a lumpy butt, but at the same time, I don't have money to throw away on something that may not make a difference. Thanks in advance, and please only answer if you can assist me with my question, not to insult, discourage or judge.

N., anytime one is considering any type of cosmetic (elective) surgery, it's so important to research thoroughly the type of surgery you want so that you have a list of questions to ask. I would think a surgeon would have discussed everything with you before you even put money down. In my opinion, I would back out of this procedure , even if it means losing a portion of this money. Money can be re-made but your life cannot be replaced. I believe your "instincts" are telling you something is wrong. Please follow your instincts.

Sounds painful and expensive! I know how you feel, until I had children, my butt was practically transverse and back then, they didn't have cute little tight pants like they do now. It was embarrassing and at one point in time I even wore thin athletic shorts under my jeans to fill them out somehow, b/c they just were so baggy.

Anyways, I have no clue about this procedure, but thought I would chim in anyways. For a temporary fix, they have butt shaper jeans, nylons and underwear that can enhance your shape. I've never used one, but it couldn't hurt to try a few brands for now until you decide what to do.

First YOU GO GURL! I totally support you.

Now what I know is that when they do a fat transfer they over fill the area because about 30% of the fat cells die and that it is temporary, up to a year I believe. If you really want to increase your butt size I would go for implants and look into that as an option. Go see Phillip Craft at New Beauty Center for plastic surgery, his brother is in his practice and I believe went to Brazil to study under some of the top surgeons down there to bring the procedure up here.
