What is your child dressing as for Halloween?

And what activities do you have planned?

We have a couple trick-or-treating sessions that we'll participate in, and will go either to the Pittsburgh Zoo or Idlewild Park for their Halloween celebrations. We also have a couple farms that do a Kids Day at the Farm kind of thing, with hayrides, pumpkin patches, petting zoo, etc. that we do each year (we love those.) My son attends a Christian preschool, and they don't do Halloween parties, instead they have a Fall Harvest party, and they can dress as any fall item or character (i.e. scarecrow, candycorn, tree, etc.), so we'll do that too.

Just wondering what you all have going on this beautiful fall season!

What can I do next?

My daughter is going to be fairy princess, and my son is Blue from Blues clues. We LOVE this time of year and go out of our way to go to all the festivals, pumpkin patches, hayrides. On the 16th we're having party here at our house. I'm making chili and vegetable soup. And my daughter and I are making these cupcakes. - http://www.ifood.tv/files/images/pumpkin_fall_cupcakes.jp...
We're playing board games, bobbing for apples, and having a costume contest for prizes.

Most of my family is participating in 'trunk-or-treat" at our church's Hallelujah Festival. This is in place of halloween. We are dressing our trunk up as a Candy Land playing board, my husband(59 y.o.) is a blue gingerbread playing piece, our 15 year old son is Mr. Mint (the candycane guy), and I'm (undisclosed age) a playing card. Unfortunately, our 19 y.o son is at college so Mr. Fudge is out and our 22 y.o. daughter is working nights so no Miss Lollipop. We love to do theme things.

Have a safe and happy celebration!

My 10 yr old daughter is going as a Butterfly and my 3 yr old son is going as a Giraffe. My oldest son ( 14) will be passing out candy. We usually go over to my moms for dinner and then we trick or treat in her sub division. A local church is having a trunk or treat on the eve of the 30th and we might go do that more for fun than anything, we are not big candy fans here. A friend of mine and her children are planning a trip to a pumpkin patch so that we can go to the corn maze and have a fun outing with the kids. We will probably have a small get together in our neighborhood since a lot of us are pretty close and we all have kids who play together, we may make cut out cookies in Halloween shapes and have the kids decorate them...of course all of this will be surrounded by drinking lots of hot cocoa and hot apple cider...I love love love the Fall = )

I work for the back offices of a good size local bank and we do trick-or-treating at my office for all the employees kids so I bring my son and a friend or 2 every year. I also work part time in the mall so we'll take him trick-or-treating there as well and then when i get off work he goes trick or treating around the neighborhood. Sounds like a lot of candy but its not really since this way I don't have to buy much candy at all. He gets at least a pumpkin full from each place so I let him pick a few pieces of candy he really wants than the rest gets put into our hand out for halloween night candy. Three benefits...I don't have to find a way to get rid of all that candy, we don't eat it all, and I save money on candy:-)
Oh, he's going as Harry potter by the way. And from what I hear the zoo's have awesome Halloween celebrations. Have fun.

My 19 m/o is alice, from alice in wonderland. She loves her dress too, so I can't wait to put her back in it. I am going to be a viking/opera singer. As far as the activities I am not sure yet. I definately want to take her to a pumpkin patch, carve pumpkins, treat or treating, go to a corn maze, and do some holiday baking for my boyfriend and his co workers, but other then that I am not sure yet. =) Happy Halloween! (ps...it's my fav, holiday!)

It's my absolute favorite time of year and Halloween is my favorite holiday, so we do it up big time! My oldest and I decorated the outside of our house for Halloween last night and will finish inside this evening.

Next weekend, my inlaws are in town, so we're taking them and the boys and heading to this fantastic pumpkin patch/farm south of here. Then we'll come back into town for the Little Five Points Halloween Parade, which is incredible, funky and fun. It's our "alternative" funky section of town. Some friends live right down the street, so we're headed over there afterward for drinks and early pumpkin carving with the kiddos.

The next weekend isn't exactly Halloween themed, but we go camping to a music festival in Florida every year, and we decorate our campsite for Halloween. My oldest will most likely live in his Batman cape the entire weekend.

The next weekend is the biggie! My son's afterschool program is having a Halloween party that Friday afternoon, and our neighborhood has a Halloween parade on Saturday where all the kids and parents dress in costume and we parade around our big park with a fire engine and marching band, then go into the park for a kids' festival. We'll come home and carve all of our pumpkins. The next night, Halloween, we're having a small, neighborhood party that afternoon and heading out with the kids for trick or treating. I'm going to hang back this year to hand out candy. I love it!

This weekend, we're going to enjoy the beautiful fall weather by celebrating my baby's 2nd birthday outside in our backyard with a party and lots of little ones racing about.

**OH -my 4 year old is going as Batman and my 2 year old will be Robin. Not that original, but my 4 year old is SO excited and happy -who cares. I couldn't resist the cuteness, and since my 2 year old doesn't care yet -I got him the Robin outfit. He's so precious with the little mask on, I almost can't stand it! I will be a ghost -but a really cool ghost -not just a sheet with holes in it. My husband will wait until the very last minute to come up with something!
