has anyone out there tried Ovation Hair Therapy... it's expensive and I'd like to try it for my thinning hair but wanted an opinion before I paid the big bucks.

I have thin hair and it seems to be falling out a lot lately (I'm 46 so that could have something to do with it, I had my thyroid checked and it is fine). any suggestions are appreciated.

I did ask my hair stylist and she has two clients that use it and she has seen good results, not dramatic but good, I started taking biotin which is supposed to help, and the other thing I read is that Ovation is not for male/female pattern baldness but helps for hair loss due to vitamin deficiencies or chemical issues (due to medication or chemo type things)

What can I do next?

If it sounds too good to be true, it usually is. I did some quick research on the web and it looks to be more than 50% shady.

I'd stay away from it. I'm 46 too, and sorry to say, we are going to have thinning hair :( Every time I wash my hair I feel like I should be bald by weeks end. I'd ask your stylist what they recommend.

I am 46 years old and have been using Ovation for the past year. I'm not sure about the thinning hair issue, but I do have to say that my hair looks shinier and feels a lot better since I started using it. I bought a biotin shampoo and conditioner from GNC and I alternate that with the Ovation. I find it best to alternate shampoos/conditioners and not use the same over and over. By doing this, I can make the Ovation last almost 6 months. The Cell Therapy I use only twice a week. Any more than that can dry your hair just like any protein therapy for your hair. Plus, I have been taking a great multi-vitamin along with this.

I have been using it for about the past three months. Honestly, I have not seen any difference in my hair thickness or growth. I would say do not waste your money.

I have heard that putting a little Knox gelatin on your food or in your drink helps quite a bit. It comes in a small box and inside are envelopes of granule gelatin. Use 1 envelope in two days. This woman I learned this from use to wear wigs, her hair was so thin. After a while, of using gelatin she now does not wear a wig and her hair is thicker than ever before. I do not know how long it took her to get her hair thicker.

I'm 38 and my hair started falling out like crazy about a year and a half ago. I had my thyroid checked and everything was okay...my doctor said it is just aging. I started using Ovation about 6 months ago and while I can't say that I have noticed my hair getting thicker, I have noticed (and so has my husband) that there is a lot less hair falling out. The product is expensive, but lasts quite a while - especially if you follow the instructions on how much to use. Whatever you decide, I wish you all the best!

My hair is thin and getting thinner daily. I just read that increasing protein to your diet can help slow it down some. I doubt there is a miracle cure. I'm starting to love wearing hats :)

My hair also started to thin and almost you can see my skin in the light, I started to take a great nutritional supplement for total well being and my hair also stoped falling out and get back to the way it was, even much more lively. I am now in my 50's and have better looking hair than before.

If you are not supplementing, you are not getting all the nutrients your body inculding your hair needs. I will be happy to share info if you are interested.

Best wishes!

About 10 years ago my hairdresser said "OMG your hair is thinning! I was 31! It freaked me out. I tried expensive shampoos and other "recommendations".
I have never used the Ovation hair therapy, i don't have to now. Today, I use a nutritional program and I will tell you, I have to cut, pluck and shave more often.
